They lost the one thing that made them proud, the one thing that tied them to their glory days. The Vikings could always stop the run, they thought. Loaded with three timeouts, a two-minute drill to stop the clock and the chance to deflate the game's best team at home, the Vikings let running back James Starks rip through the throat of their defense for 55 yards on six carries, an average of 9.2 yards per carry. Game sealed. Identity lost. "All we have to do is stop them from running, and they ran the ball," safety Tyrell Johnson said.
