Christmas has come early as the Indianapolis Colts have avoided the unthinkable by beating the Tennessee Titans this Sunday.
Only two NFL teams have ever gone win-less, the Detroit Lions (0-16) in 2008 and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1978 (0-14).
After a neck injury to Peyton Manning left them struggling at the quarterback position, the the Colts have looked nothing like the team that has made the playoffs nine consecutive years in a row.
Many have accused the Colts of giving up and not trying to win, some may even say they were taking part in the "Suck for Luck" contest. Although no one on the Colts would ever admit to that.
The Colts have not won a game since Week 17 of the 2011 season and have not led since week five of the NFL season against the Kansas City Chiefs. Up early by 17 the Colts still found a way to blow the game and lose 28-24.
Instead, the Colts put the pedal to the metal and shocked their division rival Tennessee Titans who had ambitions of entering the playoffs. Chances are those ambitions are now fading away.
