Found December 02, 2011 on Bengals Locker:
The Cincinnati Bengals bounced back last weekend against the Browns, after losing tough games to the Ravens and Steelers the two previous weeks.  The Steelers have won two games in a row and six of their last 7 games.  The Steelers beat the Bengals three weeks ago in Cincinnati.  Here is a look at the matchups in this game: When the Bengals have the ball:  The Bengals are probably going to try to remain balanced on offense against the Steelers this weekend in Pittsburgh.  Cedric Benson and Bernard Scott will be trying to power through the Steelers’ offense in this game.  The Steelers’ are giving up 96.3 yards rushing per game and 4.0 yards per carry so far this year, so the Bengals might have success if they stick with the running game.  Andy Dalton should be able to attack the Steelers down the field as long as he has time to throw the ball.  The Bengals’ O-Line has been pretty solid so far this year as Bengals’ QBs have only been sacked 17 times so far this...

Benson Doesn't Practice Thursday

Cincinnati running back Cedric Benson did not practice Thursday while nursing his ailing foot, according to team writer Geoff Hobson. Fantasy Spin: Benson is yet to be ruled out for Sunday, but keep in mind that he will be in store for a brutal match-up vs. rival Pittsburgh at hostile Heinz Field if given the green light to play. In other words, keep fantasy expectations tempered...

Bengals Stomped by Steelers

The Bengals were stomped by the Steelers 35-7 at Heinz Field. Fantasy Spin: Rookie quarterback Andy Dalton put in another subpar performance, as he completed just 11 of 24 passes for 135 yards, with one touchdown and no interceptions. He collected a total of three touchdown passes over his last three starts. Running back Cedric Benson was also held in check in a brutal match-up on...

Bengals' rookie connection paying off already

CINCINNATI (AP) -- Quarterback Andy Dalton and receiver A.J. Green hit it off right away, realizing their personalities and talents were a good fit at the NFL scouting combine. When the Cincinnati Bengals drafted Green in the first round and Dalton in the second last April, they had already hit it off. "Once training camp started, the way we were able to connect, and bond...

Hip Injury Sidelines Bengals QB Andy Dalton Vs Steelers

Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton left Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fourth quarter with a hip injury. The rookie was hurt in the third quarter while being sacked by the Steelers' James Harrison. After the hit, Dalton got right up and walked off the field under his own power, but he did have a noticeable limp. Dalton had completed 11-of-24 passes for...

Bengals-Steelers scouting report and pick

WHEN THE BENGALS RUN Cedric Benson got his third 100-yard game of the season last week but has been hampered by a foot injury which he suffered in the second quarter. In his last three games against the Steelers, Benson has 43 carries for 145 yards (3.4 yards per carry). Bernard Scott had seven carries for 38 yards in the first meeting. The Bengals ran for 104 yards in the last game...

Bengals: What are the Chances...?

The Bengals have experienced a certain amount of success at Heinz Field over the years (at least as compared to the games played in Cincinnati). But I like Pittsburgh’s chances today, though I don’t necessarily believe the Steelers will cover the 6.5 point spread. Bengals fans have good reason to be optimistic about their club’s future, as rookie QB Andy Dalton and rookie WR...

Bengals Offensive Coordinator Jay Gruden Drawing Positive Reviews

In his first season as the Bengals' offensive coordinator, Jay Gruden has received widespread praise for his work. The Pro Football Weekly hears it, Gruden's ability to communicate and adapt are among his notable strengths. With less time than usual to work with players to install his West Coast scheme because of the lockout, Gruden has nonetheless overseen a successful implementation...

Bengals routed 35-7 at Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH – With a chance to show that they were going to be taken seriously as a playoff contender, the Bengals produced one of their worst games of the year. Penalties, special teams gaffes and a depleted defense were a bad trifecta to try and match up against the Steelers and Pittsburgh took advantage with a 35-7 victory at Heinz Field. In a crucial four-game stretch against...
