Found November 28, 2012 on Football Nation:
Let me just preface this article by stating that if the Bengals start to fall apart this week that it isn’t my fault. I seem to have the black hand when it comes to writing good things about NFL players and NFL teams. I praise them and BOOM they start to come apart at the seams. My first article for Footballnation.com was titled The Unfair Scrutiny of Tony Romo. I argued that Romo was a championship quarterback (I still believe he is) who takes too much heat for his teams failure. Romo is having the worst year of his career.A few weeks later I followed with my next article: Why the Philadelphia Eagles will win the Super Bowl. Ouch. Next I wrote about how the Seattle Seahawks will be the NFL’s 2012 surprise team…… led by Matt Flynn.  Strike three? Maybe so.As I watch all of the NFL games each Sunday one team really jumps out at me as a solid team with a good young core of players and a pretty good quarterback. For years now the Cincinnati Bengals have been the subject of ridicule and ...

Have Bengals found their second WR in Sanu?

The problem with having a secret weapon comes when that secret ends. The red-hot Cincinnati Bengals file the emergence of rookie wide receiver Mohamed Sanu under the category of good problems to have. The Bengals have won three straight, all in dominant fashion, and Sanu has caught touchdown passes in all three. A healthy scratch in game six of the season who was still getting acclimated...

WDW Episode 91 – The Grass Isn’t Always Greener

It only took one pass play for the tone to be set Sunday. Palmer’s first dropback, BOOM, Geno Atkins threw him to the ground. At that point we ALL knew what kind of day it was going to be for Mr. Quitter himself. Speaking of quitting, did you see that Palmer’s Raider teammate Rolando McClain wants out of Oakland? Haha! Thanks for the draft picks. I’d much rather have the young...

Everyone knows that being a NFL quarterback can be the most challenging task in a career for a pro athlete. Some athletes are just born with the tenacity to overcome droughts and miscues.Andy Dalton, on the other hand, has exceeded everyone's expectations during his first two seasons, and his second year is not complete yet. He has joined a category that no one has been in since...

Bengals On A Roll; In Thick Of Playoff Race

Hey, it's one of those times I'm thrilled to be wrong.I thought the Bengals were among the "walking dead" of NFL teams this year when they had a 3-5 record. But suddenly they've won three straight -- all in blowout fashion -- and are tied with the Steelers at 6-5 and for the final playoff spot in the AFC (the Steelers currently own the tiebreaker due to their...

Bengals offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth called some of the Oakland Raiders ''cowards'' for hitting him during an on-field skirmish. Whitworth said on Wednesday that he hadn't yet received a fine from the NFL. He expects a significant one later in the week. Whitworth and Raiders linemen Lamarr Houston and Tommy Kelly were ejected in the fourth quarter of Cincinnati...

Bengals fan urinates on Carson Palmer jersey, then they burn it (Video)

Angry fans often express their displeasure with a player who has left for another team by burning their jersey. That is nothing new. But some vile Cincinnati Bengals fan decided to take the process a step further by urinating on a Carson Palmer jersey before his group lit it on fire. In the video above featuring some NSFW language, you can see the man urinate on the Palmer jersey...

Cincinnati Bengals at San Diego Chargers: Week 13 NFL Pick

Cincinnati Bengals (6-5) at San Diego Chargers (4-7) Last week, I took the Chargers for a big play for several reasons. Philip Rivers was 31-19 ATS in week 11 or later. In the last 3 years, as mediocre as they’ve been, they were still 10-5 ATS in week 11 or later, including a cover the week before in Denver. As underdogs, as they were last week, Rivers was 12-4 ATS in week 11 or...

Redskins dog refuses to eat Dallas Cowboys treat (VIDEO)

Dogs are great.  And the dog in this video is nothing short of outstanding.  His name is Dexter.  He was named after former Redskins defensive end Dexter Manley.  He’s a Redskins fan.  And like any ‘Skins fan (or Eagles fan or Giants fan or Bills fan or any fan of any other NFL team for that matter), he can’t stand the Dallas Cowboys. From the outset, it’s obvious that...
