Albert Einstein said that the definition for insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results!  How is having a new starting quarterback every two to three years not insane!  Consistancy is the sign of greatness!  Look at the Patriots, Giants, Steelers, etc. Consistancy all the way down the board.  Owner, Team President, GM, Head Coach, quarterback.

The Browns are going to start the season with a 29-year-old rookie quarterback that as of now has no real protection on the right side of the line, a rookie superstar running back, and three wide receivers that wouldn't make most teams' practice squads.  Let alone the 3rd hardest schedule in the NFL next year.  So with Weeden at the helm instead of McCoy that will win us 1 game. Instead of losing all 16 games it's only going to be15?  The Browns had the most dropped balls in the NFL last year and it looks like it will be the same this upcoming year also.  With no new wide receivers.

Pat Shurmer is not a head coach for the NFL!  He has no command over the team, no respect from the players, and is in over his head.  But he does have the same agent as Holmgren and Heckert, right?  Coach Shurmer won 4 games in his first year,  Coach Mangini won 5 and was then fired because 5 wins is unacceptable.  But 4 wins are??  Did I miss something here?  I do understand you can't win if you have no talent.  And the Browns have NO talent where they need it the most.  Coach Shurmer may know how to run a West Coast Offense, but it isn't going to work in the AFC North whre it is a smash-mouth, run-it-up-the-gut division.  A 29-year-old starting rookie quarter back is not going to get this team more than 4 wins this season.  Even with Trent Richardson behind him!  The Draft isn't even over and the Browns could have 2 or 3 more rookies starting on offense and really get there asses handed to them this year!

General Manager Tom Heckert I think is the one that actually knows a little about what he is doing, but doesn't get the credit for it.  He definitely knows how to draft key players at key positions.  Haden, Ward, Sheard, Taylor, McCoy umm...  OK 5 starters in two drafts isn't too bad.    He doesn't seem like he is that bad of a guy and he doesn't seem like he's always asking "Which Way Do I Go?"  like Coach Shurmer, and I think when this whole thing blows up next season he will be the first one to take the blunt of the hit with the locks on The Browns' Training Facility changed.  And I think he too has the same agent as Holmgren.  Mmmm.....

Team President Mike Holmgren.  The Browns have needs and holes to fill.  With a lot of money under the salary cap to spend on free agents.  "We are going to build through the Draft."  That's what he said.  Last year they passed up on drafting  WR Julio Jones, an impact player the Browns so desperately need and Colt McCoy would of prospered from having, and draft Phil Taylor and pick up a second-round pick last year that became Jabaal Sheard and the Falcons first round pick of this year.  We start to see some method to your madness.

Free agency started this year and with all that money under the cap and key holes to fill you do NOTHING!!!  You let Hillis walk, you get rid of Steinbach, you don't even sniff at Matt Flynn or Alex Smith, both unrestricted free agents that signed for next to nothing from what they were projected to get.  The Browns need players at wide receiver and you do NOTHING!  Vincent Jackson, Reggie Wayne, Marques Colston and the list go on, all free agents.  Did you bring in one them or make an offer to one of them?  No!  You sat on your fat butt, counting your millions that you are screwing Randy Learner out of, and waiting for the builders to finish your mansion in Seattle and quit!  So how is Weeden and Richardson going to be different from McCoy and Hillis? Or Derrick Anderson and Jamaal Lewis?  Or Trent Dilfer and William Green?  They all had NO wide receivers!

Weeden was good at college because of the TEAM around him,  there is not a solid team here around him, Mike.  It's obvious you don't want to be here and it will be brought out that you have said something of that nature in the near future.  So just leave!  You just wasted a first round pick on a quarterback that according to ESPN's Adam Shefter is not that much of an upgrade from McCoy!  As he reported last night on the Draft Recap.  So how is this different?  And I know I won't be asking you for playoff tickets.  Because we are not going to be there anytime soon you big tub of lard!!
