After a back-and-forth camp battle with Chris Owens, it was determined that Buster Skrine would get the nod at the second cornerback position opposite of Joe Haden. While being victimized last season by what seemed like every starting quarterback in the NFL, Skrine has shown considerable improvement over the offseason, and he appeared to be making large strides toward being an every-down cornerback. Unfortunately, after suffering an injury at Thursday’s practice, now it looks like Skrine could be missing the first game of the season against the Miami Dolphins entirely.
“It’s next man up,” Haden said. “We’re gonna have to figure out a way to make it happen. Buster, he’s been working real hard, that’ll be a big setback for him, as far as our defense is concerned. It’s next man up and we have to do what we got to do.”
In his place will be Owens, who was expected to play the nickel role this season. Owens has had his share of injuries so far, limiting his snaps a...

The NFL power ranking are out just in time for week one action. The Browns with QB Brandon Weeden steering the ship are ranked number 28th. This isn’t much of an improvement over last season. The Browns have a new coach and new offensive coordinator and thy still can’t get the respect of the ranking system.
Perhaps the fact that Browns starting quarterback Brandon Weeden had...

The Cleveland Browns open their regular season tomorrow at home against the Miami Dolphins. Greg Little will be the Browns number one receiver and we all know how good this guy can be. Little has had problems with drops since coming to the Browns. He has greatly improved over the past 2 seasons. He worked with Weeden over the off season and they seem to both be on the same page coming...
Despite what Browns coach Rob Chudzinski and OC Norv Turner indicated all preseason, running back Trent Richardson saw just 13 carries in the season opener versus Miami in what was a one-score game for the first 53 minutes.Fantasy Spin:Meanwhile, Brandon Weeden threw the football 53 times, completing 26 and throwing three picks. Richardson had 47 yards rushing and added two receptions...

I can seriously see the Browns winning anywhere between 4 and 11 wins, because I am a delusional unapologetic homer who is both eternally optimistic and heartbroken. I want to give Weeden the time to develop...
The Browns lead the Dolphins 7-6 at halftime despite three interceptions by quarterback Brandon Weeden.
Weeden’s first interception killed the Browns’ first drive, but pinned the Dolphins at their own one yard line. Weeden threw for Travis Benjamin who was double covered on the play.
The Dolphins got on the board first with a 45 yard field goal. 15 plays 58 yards. The drive stalled...
The Browns kick off the 2013 season at 1:00 today, home against the Miami Dolphins.
The game is televised on WOIO-TV, channel 19 in Cleveland. Kevin Harlan and Solomon Wilcots will be announcing the game.
This is the time of the year when grocery and liquor stores post their best sales since January for food and beer because football is back, baby. Try-outs are no longer the focus for NFL teams as they look towards another goal, the playoffs. There’s no question that the ultimate destination is the Super Bowl, but 12 out of the 32 NFL squads must first qualify for the most highly...
The Cleveland Browns and the Miami Dolphins kick off their 2013 seasons against each other in Cleveland on Sunday. Both teams are going into the season with playoff expectations and plenty of hype, so with two similar teams facing off it could come down to a last second field goal or miraculous play. The little things matter in games like this, especially certain matchups on the...
The first week of the 2013 NFL season has finally arrived and the Miami Dolphins will kickoff their campaign with a matchup against the Browns in Cleveland.
Since the schedule was released, there has been a lot of debate in regards to this Dolphins-Browns tilt mainly due to the fact that the outcome will have a significant impact on Miami's season. Considering the four...
The Dolphins took care of business Sunday when they used a dominant defensive performance to beat the Cleveland Browns 23-10. It was by no means a perfect effort for the Dolphins, but a good start to the season nonetheless because they find themselves 1-0 for only the second time since 2005. Here's what stood out from the game.
You know I was really trying to hide my exasperation at yet another piece of information with little or no relevance being treated like an earth shattering revelation. How did I do?
The more surprising aspect of this news wasn't that former UNC WR Greg Little was given $20,000 by an agent or that Jennifer Wiley was involved. That sort of thing goes on all the time according to...
