Late in the 2nd quarter the Buffalo Bills were punting to the Cleveland Browns after a solid defensive stand from the Browns. Browns wide receiver Travis Benjamin fielded the punt and took it back 79-yards to the house. This punt return not only showcased his speed, but his elusiveness. He ran to the complete opposite side of the field and managed to get in the end zone.

Browns quarterback Brian Hoyer injured his right knee in the first quarter against the Buffalo Bills on Thursday night.
After being flushed from the pocket, Hoyer gained 11 yards on a run before he got his leg caught underneath while being tackled. He stayed down for several moments before he was helped to a trainer's table and then limped to the locker room under his own power...
Three weeks ago you would not have seen a play like this. No, the Cleveland Browns were not clutch players at all. These guys were more like a group that played the game, but when they fell behind it was "oh well; here we go again."
Not anymore. It appears like trading away a former first round draft pick was just the catalyst that the Browns needed to get it together...
Early in the third quarter Browns fans (and the people that picked up Brian Hoyer looking to start him during their bye weeks) got some bad news. Not only was he not returning in the second half, but it sounds like there is reason to believe he might be out even longer.
Whatever the team was able to do in the locker room was able to give the team reason to...
Cleveland Browns QB Brian Hoyer suffered a knee injury during the first quarter of last night’s game against the Buffalo Bills. Although the Browns won 37-24, they lost Hoyer for the rest of the season to a torn ACL. From Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon-Journal: #Browns HC Chud said MRI shows QB Brian Hoyer suffered […]
I feel sick for Browns quarterback Brian Hoyer this morning, and not because I started him in my fantasy football league either.
Adam Schefter is reporting that the Browns fear Hoyer has torn his ACL.
Browns are concerned QB Brian Hoyer tore his ACL last night but will not know for until he undergoes an MRI today.

Brian Hoyer was a nice story. So was the Browns recent surge. And in one play, all that good-will, all that excitement generated by a local kid, turned starting quarterback, evaporated. And with it, a fascinating discussion point.
Hoyer tore his ACL courteous of a first quarter slide – usually a safe play, but this is the Browns we’re talking about — and he instantly...
According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, Browns quarterback Brian Hoyer suffered a partially torn ACL during Thursday night’s win over the Bills.
Brian Hoyer has a partial ACL tear only. Will get a second opinion and then get it repaired.

The feel-good hometown hero story of Brian Hoyer took a crushing turn Thursday night when the quarterback suffered a potentially serious right knee injury in the first quarter of Thursday night's game against Buffalo at FirstEnergy Stadium.
But the never-say-die Browns put on a thrilling performance in Hoyer's absence pulling away with Brandon Weeden at quarterback for a...
It sure is fun to have a win in the books before Sunday. The Browns managed to do that with their back-and-forth dramatic victory on Thursday night, despite losing resurgent quarterback Brian Hoyer for the season.
As we look back at how the Browns are suddenly on top of the AFC North Division – yes, it’s true – here are a number of intriguing statistics that I’ve found, courtesy...
According to USA Today’s Tom Pelissero the Browns will meet with free agent QB Tyler Thigpen on Friday night. This is great sign if your last name is Weeden. Brian Hoyer (ACL tear) is headed to injured reserve, so Thigpen could push Jason Campbell to be Brandon Weeden’s backup. Thigpen is 29 years old and […]

One of the best stories in the league with Patriots ties has come to a sad end.
Brian Hoyer, Tom Brady's former backup, took over the reigns in Cleveland with the team going into "play for 2014" mode. Surprisingly though, the QB performed exceptionally well - leading the 0-2 team to two straight wins. He seemed in a good rhythm in last night...
Don't look now, but the Cleveland Browns are the first team to three wins in the AFC North following their 37-24 defeat of the Buffalo Bills Thursday night.
Quarterback Brandon Weeden relived injured starter Brian Hoyer in the first quarter and threw for 197 yards and one touchdown to lead the Browns to their first 3-2 start since 2001.
Hoyer, who took over as the Browns starter...
Tony Grossi of ESPN Cleveland reports that the Browns have eliminated free agent QB Josh Freeman off as a possible option at quarterback now that Brian Hoyer is done for the season.
Ian Rapoport also reported that Cleveland is unlikely to sign Freeman.
Tom Pelissero mentions that Tyler Thigpen could be an option for the Browns.
Pelissero adds that he’s been informed...
As the Cleveland Browns improved to 2-0 under Brian Hoyer with their win on Sunday over the Cincinnati Bengals, the final grains of sand began to slip through the hour glass that represents Brandon Weeden’s career as the Browns starting quarterback. Although head coach Rob Chudzinski will not admit it, the starting job is going to be Hoyer’s for the rest of the season barring...
The Brandon Weeden era in Cleveland appears to be completely over, and quickly forgotten. After winning two straight games for the Browns, Brian Hoyer has his team on top of a weak division, and with the Bills up next, there’s no reason the Browns won’t push their winning streak to three games.
Much was made of the Browns’ decision to deal Trent Richardson away to the Colts...
