(via bleacherreport) As if we needed any more reason to tune in for this weekend’s 49ers-Seahawks game, the two young gun QBs taking the stage have upped the stakes even further: Seattle’s Russell Wilson and SF’s Colin Kaepernick have made a wager that whoever loses on Sunday has to shave off one of his eyebrows. The bet took place during a commercial for Madden 25, and it’s all on video, with both quarterbacks shaking on it … which I’m pretty sure means it can be upheld in a court of law. Kaepernick: “Big game on Sunday.” Wilson: “Yup. You know what we should do? Whoever loses has to shave an eyebrow.” Kaepernick: “Alright. Hope you don’t like your eyebrow.” VIDEO AFTER THE JUMP We’ll see if the loser actually goes through with it, but either way, this game is going to be AWESOME.

Russell Wilson says eyebrow bet with Colin Kaepernick is more of a joke

On Tuesday we posted a video of Colin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson making a bet that whoever loses this weekend’s game has to shave off an eyebrow. Wilson was asked about the wager when he went on the radio with Dave “Softy” Mahler show on 950 KJR-AM in Seattle. “He’s going to have to shave off his (eyebrows),” Wilson joked, via ProFootballTalk.com. Mobile Quarterbacks: What Sets Kaepernick and Wilson Apart from the pack?

As much as ESPN and NFL.com want you to think otherwise, quarterbacks who can make plays on their feet are nothing new to the game of football. 100 years ago when football was in it’s youth, the quarterback we’ve come to know today was really just another running back.  Forward passing wasn’t even a big part of the game until a while later.  And even then, when pocket quarter...

Kaepernick: Packers need 'better' game plan than 'intimidation'

Colin Kaepernick had a 34-28 victory to point to after the San Francisco 49ers and Green Bay Packers finished up on Sunday. But he’s added some words, too. Kaepernick got drilled out of bounds by Clay Matthews on a third-quarter scramble Sunday, drawing a penalty flag. A 49ers player ended up getting penalized in the little fight that broke out afterward, too, though, meaning Green...

Colin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson Make Shaved Eyebrow Bet on Sunday’s Game (Video)

To cap off a great sports weekend, we have the San Francisco 49ers vs Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. In a new Madden commercial, Colin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson gave us yet another reason to get excited about this one by making a bet that whoever loses has to shave an eyebrow. The way the 49ers looked against the Packers, “all Russell Wilson everything” might want to start lining up barbers.

Ref Admits Error Gave 49ers Extra Down

After Clay Matthews hit Colin Kaepernick late, out of bounds, that led to a mini brawl in which 49ers LT Joe Staley was penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct, offsetting with Matthews late hit on Kaepernick.  Referee Bill Levy explained after the game how he incorrectly enforced the penalty “On the play where the quarterback (Kaepernick) went out of bounds and was hit late out...

Joe Staley to Colin Kapernick: No one is hitting you late

After this past Sunday’s late hit on 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick,  Joe Staley told him that no one is going to hit him late, according to ProFootballTalk.com. After the incident, Staley and Kaepernick had a discussion.  The audio will be played tonight, on the season debut of NBCSN’s NFL Turning Point. Staley tells Kaepernick, “We’re setting a precedent.” “I...

Packers lose to 49ers again, 34-28 in opener

The Green Bay Packers found a way to keep Colin Kaepernick in the pocket and stop all those read-options runs that embarrassed them in the playoffs. They just had no answer for his arm. Or his newest receiver. Kaepernick threw for a career-high 412 yards and three touchdowns to outduel Aaron Rodgers, and the San Francisco 49ers held off the Packers 34-28 on Sunday in the season...

San Francisco 49ers vs Green Bay Packers: Post Game Wrap Up

The San Francisco 49ers opened the 2013 NFL season with a very good win over the Green Bay Packers. The game was a high scoring game that featured a clash of two of the better teams in the NFC. The 49ers showed that they are still one of the more physical teams in the NFL but they can win by letting Colin Kaepernick throw the ball. The Packers were so concerned about not allowing...

Thoughts After The Seattle Seahawks Victory Over The Carolina Panthers

From HawkBlogger.com, a partner of Oregon Sports News Russell Wilson scrambled for his life, Marshawn Lynch could not find running room, and the Seattle defense could not stop Kevin Kolb from scoring the winning touchdown. That was last year. Tarvaris Jackson was battered with five sacks, Lynch could not find running room, and the Seattle special teams gave up two kick returns...

NFL Week 1 Grades: What Sophomore Slump?

It was an exciting week of football, starting with an explosive showing by the ageless veteran Peyton Manning.  And while all eyes were on the Baltimore Ravens-Denver Broncos rematch of the 2013 AFC Divisional Playoffs to usher in the new NFL season, for once, it seemed that the NFL community also had their radar on Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks.  Wilson deserves...

Referee admits botching call that led to 49ers' TD

Referee Bill Leavy admitted he made a mistake by giving the San Francisco 49ers an extra down that resulted in a touchdown in the second quarter of Sunday's 34-28 win over the Green Bay Packers. It happened after Packers linebacker Clay Matthews hit 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick well out of bounds on a third-and-6 scramble that came up 2 yards short of the first-down marker...

TGS Week 2 Power Rankings

Here's how we rank the league's 32 teams with one week in the books... 1. San Francisco 49ers (1-0): I wasn't convinced that Colin Kaepernick could do it for an entire season without the surprise element. And then I watched the Green Bay game. 2. Denver Broncos (1-0): They continue to be the most dominant home team in the league, and Peyton Manning looks better...

49ers Take Down Pack, 34-28

Anquan Boldin's sensational San Francisco debut helped keep the 49ers on quite a roll against Green Bay. And Vernon Davis did his part in a prolific passing game led by Colin Kaepernick in a 34-28 victory over the Packers on Sunday.
