Colts' Denico Autry placed on COVID-19 list, out for Packers game

Green Bay Packers quarterback and NFL Most Valuable Player candidate Aaron Rodgers will have one less thing to worry about during Sunday's game at the Indianapolis Colts.

As Mike Wells of ESPN explained, the Colts have placed defensive lineman Denico Autry on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Autry missed Thursday's practice because of an undisclosed illness.

It's a brutal blow for the 30-year-old, who is on pace for a career-best campaign. Autry leads the Colts with six sacks, 34 sack yards, and seven QB hits. He shares the team lead in tackles for loss with Tyquan Lewis, as both have seven heading into the weekend.

Per NFL rules for the season held amid the coronavirus pandemic, a player who tests positive for COVID-19 must remain away from team activities for a minimum of 10 days after symptoms start, plus at least 24 hours after the passing of all symptoms.

Indianapolis faces the Tennessee Titans on Nov. 29.

The Colts sit at 6-3 overall and atop the AFC South standings alongside the 6-3 Titans. Indianapolis defeated Tennessee 34-17 on Nov. 12.

Rodgers, meanwhile, leads the NFL with a 116.4 passer rating and 84.7 total QBR, according to ESPN stats. The 36-year-old has 26 touchdown passes with only three interceptions on the year.
