The Indianapolis Colts played their first preseason game on Sunday without their young emerging tight end Dwayne Allen. Allen has sat out practice since reporting foot soreness on Wednesday, and up until today, the nature of Allen's injury has been a mystery.
On Friday, Allen sought a second opinion on the foot, and Larry Hartstein of CBSsports.com reported following the conclusion...
Mike Chappell of the Indianapolis Star says he gets "the impression" Colts TE Dwayne Allen (foot) could be ready for the start of the season.Fantasy Spin:Allen is dealing with a foot injury and is still on crutches and in a boot. With Coby Fleener dealing with injuries last season, Allen emerged as the better of the two rookies with 45 receptions for 521 yards and three...
The NFL has a lot of rules. Guys can only wear certain apparell brands during games and when they make appearances for the league. Socks have to be pulled up. There are even regulations on towels guys use to wipe sweat off their hands. Heck, there is even a guy that gets paid to walk around the guys before games and see who is breaking one of the NFL's many little uniform rules...
Colts owner Jim Irsay showed some frustration on Twitter following the Colts loss to the Bills in this year’s first preseason game. He’s caught some flak in the media and from fans, but as far as I’m concerned it’s a good thing. It’s time to take the training wheels off, build depth, and become a truly well-rounded team. It’s time for legitimate new success.
Indianapolis Colts linebacker Justin Hickman will likely miss the rest of the season with a foot injury.
Coach Chuck Pagano made the announcement Monday.
Hickman injured his right foot early in the second quarter of Sunday's 44-20 preseason loss to Buffalo and limped off the field after getting injured on a running play. Pagano said X-rays showed the Lisfranc injury and doctors...
Following Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay on Twitter is like watching Mark Sanchez play quarterback — you never know what you’re going to get, but it usually makes you scratch your head. Expectations are high for the Colts heading into 2013 after Andrew Luck made the transition to the NFL level almost seamlessly last year. […]
The football pre-season is now among us and we need something to look forward to in these ‘friendly’ games, because the W’s and L’s don’t matter. Here are some position battles that may be interesting to watch through the month of exhibition games.

Colts fans…step away from the ledge. Or the bridge. Or the window. Or whatever it is you’re prepared to pummel to your death from. And remember one thing: it’s preseason. And it doesn’t matter. And you may just hurt yourself really, really badly. That’s three things. Sorry.
You want to...
The Indianapolis Colts did not look the greatest in their preseason loss to the Buffalo Bills, but it was just the first preseason game and a number of starters did not play. That does not mean that there were not some highlights though--like this 45 yard touchdown pass from new back-up quarterback Matt Hasselbeck to second-year wide receiver T.Y. Hilton.
We've been playing the waiting game for pretty much the entire day waiting to find out what is wrong with Dwayne Allen who missed practice yesterday with a "sore foot" as Chuck Pagano described it a day ago.
Well prepare to wait a little longer - but this time we have a bit more info.
After practice this afternoon Pagano addressed the media and of course the first...
The Colts have activated running back Ahmad Bradshaw from the active/PUP list.Fantasy Spin:It looks like Bradshaw has finally recovered from offseason foot surgery. That's bad news for Vick Ballard, who drops to No. 2 on the Colts' running back depth chart. If Bradshaw stays healthy, he should have a chance for his second straight 1,000-yard season.
