Former Colts' LB Brackett available, but not desperate
Veteran free agent middle linebacker Gary Brackett has been cleared to play again after a shoulder injury that sidelined him for all but one game in 2011. But that doesn't necessarily mean that the nine-year veteran, released by the rebuilding Indianapolis Colts earlier in the spring, will be in a hurry to return to the field. Brackett, 32, has had some nibbles, as first noted...

Pat Angerer: 2011 and Beyond
As we've beat into our own and others' skulls for the last eight months, the Colts were really bad in 2011. Pat Angerer wasn't.
Throughout the season, Angerer was a fan favorite on defense, due to his propensity to get to the ball carrier, his sweet name, and the Colts' lack of playmakers on defense. Angerer is a good, budding player, but he was frequently overrated...

((ht: naplesnews.com))
Yes, you read the headline correctly. Former Indianapolis Colts placekicker Mike Vanderjagt has made the news.
And it is not for a good thing unfortunately.
Vanderjagt never recovered from having the reputation of being a great regular season but lousy playoff performer. He also got in trouble for running his mouth. At one point, he criticized then...
Breaking down two tight end sets
After drafting two top-tier tight ends the Colts are widely-viewed as perhaps moving towards a Patriots-style offense. We all know the Colts loved to run two tight-ends in Manning's early career so there is a precedent for that preference.
Matt Bowen at the National Football Post has an excellent series in which he explains some of these concepts including the Patriots two-tight...
