Andrew Luck (@NFLONFOX) Seattle Seahawks went into Indy without a lost and left with their first of season at the hand of the Colts. Andrew Luck appeared to be having his way with the Seahawks defense, passing for 230 yards and 2 touchdowns. More importantly Luck was converting on numerous third downs to keep Colts drives alive. The Legion of Boom look to be at its worst for the first time in the two years this group has been together. Blown coverage’s and just getting beat in key downs. The secondary wasn’t only to blame as the Seattle’s pass rush just looked late getting to Luck most the game. On a positive note there overall yardage given up wasn’t bad, and they shut colts run game down making them very one dimensional. A few questionable calls going the other way could have helped the Hawks defensive cause as well.   The make shift offense line looked better this week against the colts. Particularly in the run game as Lynch and Wilson ran for over 200 yards combined. Still, missing Russell Okung and Max Unger hurt, as Lynch was getting hit in the back field often. Despite having a quite successful day running it could have been even better and Wilson looked hurried on his passes as the Colts pass rush wasn’t picked up well. In the red zone the Hawks offense appeared to slow down as they traded a lot potential touchdowns for field goals.   Coming back to Seattle to face the Titans next week. I expect the Hwaks defense to look better. Playing at the Clink (Century Link Field) against a backup quarterback they have no reason to play the way they did against Luck this week. It also gives their offensive line another week to get healthy as we can hope to have their pro bowl center back. So long as the defense improves, which I have no doubt it will as its arguably the best defense in the game and the offense can continue to move the ball the way they did today. Changing some the field goals for touchdowns. We as hawks fans can view this lost as a speed bump to very good team on continued road to the playoffs. Oh and the calls this week can’t get any worst next week.

Week 5 (10/13 - Seahawks Lose

Well, so much for undefeated.  The Seahawks gained 228 yards on the ground and grossed another 210 through the air despite missing three starters on the o-line, but 2 sacks and 5 QB hits were simply not enough pressure to stop Luck from repeatedly connecting with Wayne and Hilton.  Ladies and gentlemen, the Colts are for real. Moments in time…The Seattle Seahawks week that was

Tough loss in Indy Before the shoot-out in Dallas took place, the Seahawks-Colts matchup was one for the ages.
