The winless Indianapolis Colts have promoted tight end Mike McNeill to the active roster and waived offensive lineman Mike Tepper. McNeill and Tepper are both undrafted rookies who have been on the active roster and the practice squad this season. McNeill has played in three games this season, while Tepper has started in four of his six appearances. Indy (0-11) also has announced that tight end Brody Eldridge, fullback Ryan Mahaffey and defensive tackle Drake Nevis did not travel to New England (8-3) for Sunday's game. Eldridge is out with a hand injury. Mahaffey will not play because of a concussion and Nevis will miss the game with a lower back injury.

Patriots Pressure Points: Before the Snap 12/4/11

Foxborough, MA – Another game, another backup QB. The Patriots take on the Indianapolis Colts in what has gone from the big annual epic battle of two NFL powerhouses to a lackluster matchup of epic proportions. What the hell happened to the Colts other than Peyton Manning's neck injury? In all fairness, let's try to take a step back and remember that the Colts...

What did former Patriots Super Bowl hero Adam Vinatieri think of being booed?

So, Colts QB Peyton Manning was celebrated by Patriots fans. And former Super Bowl hero kicker Adam Vinatieri was… booed? Really? It’s true. And Vinatieri didn’t seem to mind. “They were nice to me except for a few of the kicks,” he said. “But that’s to be expected.” Vinatieri called Gillette Stadium a “fun place to play,” called the fans “wild and crazy,...

Kuharsky deciphers Manning

Paul Kuharsky is bar-none one of the most reasonable, well-informed writers covering the AFC South and the Colts.  He's put those skills to work when considering what Manning's comments likely mean for the Colts: Manning: “As far as questions about (my) long-term career and about the 2012 NFL Draft, I think those are inappropriate frankly, given the fact that we had a...

Patriots Defeat Colts 31-24

Gronk walks off with what he thought was a record-breaking football. Photo by APThe game didn’t have the luster it usually has with Peyton Manning on the sidelines, but that doesn’t make the win any less meaningful. The Patriots improve to 9-3, keeping pace with the Steelers and the Texans in the battle for the #1 seed in the playoffs,  and the Colts remain winless on the season...

Pats build huge lead, send Colts to 0-12 (AP)

Rob Gronkowski scored three more touchdowns, and turned out the Patriots needed every one of them to keep Indianapolis winless. New England withstood the Colts' three-touchdown rally in the fourth quarter for a 31-24 victory Sunday. The Patriots (9-3) have won four in a row.
