The Colts placed OT George Foster, NT Brandon McKinney and WR Griff Whalen on injured reserve on Monday.
McKinney suffered a torn ACL and Whalen re-injured a foot that had kept him out of much of training camp in the Colts' preseason game against the Redskins last weekend.
Also on Monday, the Colts placed OG Justin Anderson on the physically unable to perform list and NT Josh Chapman, a fifth-round rookie, on the reserve/non-football injury list. Chapman is still recovering from a torn ACL he suffered in college last year at Alabama.

Indianapolis' Luck gets 1 more chance to tune up
Andrew Luck has one more chance to get things right before the games count.
The rookie quarterback has looked good in the Colts' first three preseason games, though Saturday afternoon's loss at Washington was clearly the toughest.
Against the Redskins, Luck had to contend with a bevy of blitzes, breakdowns along the offensive line and penalties that led to stalled drives...
Colts new cornerback eager to get fresh start
Vontae Davis couldn't wait to get started in Indianapolis.
After leaving rain-soaked Florida, the new Colts cornerback made it to town Monday and quickly told reporters he wanted to leave the past in Miami.
On Sunday, the Colts sent two draft picks, including a second-rounder in 2013, to Miami to acquire the four-year veteran. For Davis, it marks the end of a stormy time in...
Joe Montana picks Luck over RG3 after being put under pressure
Joe was on ESPN's "First Take" to promote the new Madden 13 game when the round table discussion inevitably came around to co-host Skip Bayless asking the four-time Super Bowl winner which rookie he would pick to have more long-term success as an NFL quarterback — Andrew Luck or Robert Griffin III.
Montana tried to dodge the question before a nagging Bayless said...
Indianapolis Colts Acquire CB Vontae Davis: Major Upgrade or Waste of Picks?
The Indianapolis Colts acquired former 1st round corner back Vontae Davis from the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
I, like nearly everyone else, has been predicting that the Colts would make a move via trade to help shore up their secondary. This maybe wasn’t quite the move we had been expecting however.
The biggest thing Colts fans have to wonder: Is this the major upgrade the secondary...

Yet, Collie is not willing to give it up. He told fans at a charity event on Sunday that he will continue to play football.

Colts Waive 11 Players
The Indianapolis Colts waived 11 players on Sunday, including defensive backs Terrence Johnson, Chris Rucker and safety David Caldwell.
All three spent last season with the Colts as rookies.
Johnson totaled 37 tackles in 10 games, Rucker had 36 tackles and two passes defensed in 15 games and Caldwell notched 67 tackles and four passes defended.
Also cut on Sunday were cornerbacks...
Colts expect Austin Collie healthy for week 1
According to the Indianapolis Star, Colts Head Coach Chuck Pagano expects Austin Collie to be healthy for week 1. Collie suffered his 4th concussion in 21 months last week, but it was as minor as they come and he should be cleared before week 1. On a thin receiving corps, Austin Collie has great upside in fantasy leagues. Other than him, the Colts’ only other receivers who aren’t...
Video: Luck vs. RG3
The best thing about preseason NFL football is the fact that it signifies that regular season football is only a couple weeks away. It’s where the starters go through the motions for a couple weeks and the back-ups earn roster spots. The play-calling is very vanilla and games are sometimes tough to watch in the second half. A couple times a year there’s a preseason match-up that...
2012 NFL Presesaon: Dolphins and Colts Execute Surprising Trade
When Colts' owner Jim Irsay tweeted that "TRADE WINDS (are) BLOWING!!!" earlier this week, it wasn't too big of a surprise. Irsay often appears to a monthly quota of semi-incomprehensible tweets to fill, and he had spent a good deal of time mostly out of the spotlight. It was about time for Irsay to grab some headlines.
Far more surprising was the actual trade...

Colts trade for Vontae Davis
Colts’ owner Jim Irsay said on twitter recently that the team was going to make a big move, and they did just that by trading for Dolphins’ corner back Vontae Davis.
Davis had fallen out of favor with the Dolphins, and was acquired by the Colts for the price of a second round pick and a conditional sixth rounder.
The Colts badly needed to shore up their defense, and if Davis...
4 Reasons Why the Indianapolis Colts Should Add Chris Cooley
The news came out today that the Washington Redskins have released long time and former Pro-Bowl tight end Chris Cooley. I think that Cooley would be an amazing addition to the team, and I’ll detail why here in a moment.
One thing that makes any situation like this easier is that the Colts have the first crack at any player placed on waivers thanks to their 2-14 record in 2011...
