Indianapolis Colts running back Joseph Addai will be limited to an "emergency" role again for Sunday's game against Jacksonville. Addai has been slowed by a hamstring injury that forced him to miss the last two games and has limited him to only two carries in the past four contests. Colts coach Jim Caldwell said Addai remains limited in practice by the injury. Delone Carter and Donald Brown will continue to share carries in his absence. Addai has rushed for 257 yards on 58 carries and one touchdown in six games this season.

Phil B goes off the deep end too

Philip B. Wilson is my favorite beat writer.  I love his style and he's often got his finger on the pulse of fans everywhere.Today he's joined the ranks of Star writers who have leapt off the deep end.  He's dead wrong on this claim: The most recent eyebrow raise has been about RB Delone Carter. The rookie has been one of the few bright spots, yet the Colts gave him...

Colts Power Rankings: 2011, Week 9

Each week, Coltzilla will scour the net for team rankings from football experts covering the previous week, and discuss them from the fan’s perspective. Average Ranking: 32.00 (previously 31.88) – Thirty-second. Bottom. And it’s unanimous. According to the experts, the Colts are the worst team in the NFL. Anyone still disagree? Saturday called the team together Monday, a day after the Colts dropped to 0-9 for the first time since 1997 with a 31-7 loss to the Atlanta Falcons - their worst start since going 0-10 in 1997. 'Name that Chapter' Contest!

It's contest time! Last year, my book about the history of the Indianapolis Colts came out. Blue Blood: Tales of Glory of the Indianapolis Colts chronicles the history of the team since moving to Indianapolis. One of the hardest parts of writing a book is coming up with chapter titles that are pithy, informative, and not too cliche. Someday, in five or ten years, I might update...

Bill Polian: Colts problems aren’t all about Manning injury

Colts Vice Chairman Bill Polian took serious issue with an argument that his son Chris has had a big hand in the team’s 0-9 record this season, so we definitely welcome a chance to hear what he thinks is to blame for the team’s record. Albert Breer of NFL.com gives us a chance to find…

Game Preview: Jaguars vs. Colts

Jaguars Offense vs. Colts Defense If there was ever a week for the Jaguars offense to break out under rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert, it would be this Sunday against the Colts defense. The Colts defense is ranked next to last in the league in total yards allowed per game and rushing yards allowed. The Colts inability to stop the run has been exploited by the Jaguars numerous times...

Saturday tries to fire up 0-9 Colts in players-only meeting

After a 31-7 battering of the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, one might say the Atlanta Falcons had the final word, but that wouldn't be entirely accurate.
