The Victory Formation:
It hasn’t been an eventful summer for Indianapolis Colts rookie John Boyett, that is unless you count his recent arrest after becoming overly intoxicated at an area bar. Boyett, who is listed on the team’s non-football injury list, has yet to play with the team this season, but is in no doubt in trouble with the team after he caused a disturbance at Tiki Bob’s in downtown Indianapolis. Boyett was reported to police as being ‘too intoxicated’ and was swearing up at storm at patrons and people on the sidewalk. When police arrived, the strong safety struck the Heisman pose when he allegedly “stiff-armed” a police officer and then ran away. Police caught up to him when the drunk Boyett fell down and hurt himself. While I am pretty impressed that he was so drunk that he actually busted out a football move to allude police, I am equally tickled that he had to tell them that he was a football player. Via the Indy Star: “You can’t arrest me, I’m a Colts player,” Boyett repeatedly told the officers, according to the report that described his behavior as “very abusive.” The report said Boyett later threatened an officer, saying “I […]

DON'T LET THE DOOR HIT YA
The Colts decided to part ways with John Boyett after the rookie safety was arrested Monday and allegedly told officers they couldn't arrest him because he's a Colts player.
So much for John Boyett telling police “You can’t arrest me; I’m a Colts player” as the team waived the Safety on Tuesday.
With the Colts waiving Boyett, he can no longer make that claim.
Boyett, 23, had been on the reserve/NFL list due to a knee injury suffered while playing at Oregon last year. On Monday morning he was arrested for disorderly conduct, public intoxication...

John Boyett has yet to make an appearance for the Colts. However, he is already featured in the city's police blotter after being arrested for public intoxication.
I guess his claim doesn’t hold up anymore. John Boyett who was arrested on disorderly conduct, public intoxication and resisting law enforcement also told police “You can’t arrest me, I’m a Colts player” before running from them, has been released by the Colts.
Dang they released him from the non football injury list? So now he’s facing criminal charges while on the...
