Colts rookie Donte Moncrief turned pro to support family

Like many of the record 98 underclassmen who declared for this year's draft, Donte Moncrief went pro to finally get paid for his talents. Moncrief, however, isn't lining his own pockets. The Colts' rookie receiver told the Indianapolis Star he entered the NFL to support his family, which has grown since his time at Ole Miss. "It was just time," he said....

Indianapolis Colts: grading all 5 picks

Before we dive into grading each pick, I just want to say that grading picks this early on isn’t ideal. It is difficult to say whether or not this was a bad pick or good pick based on what ‘experts’ and others think about the player. However, this is a necessary evil, and quite an enjoyable one at that, so let’s get it started: Round 2: Jack Mewhort, OL, Ohio State This...

If that does not make you want to wet your drawers then you sir are not scared of anything. Hafthor Bjornsson is his real name, and he is from Iceland and is 6’9″ and 419 pounds. You want to protect Andrew Luck? Stick...

Indianapolis Colts Tried to Sign 'The Mountain That Rides' From Game of Thrones

Remember 'The Icelander?' The huge dude that Jim Irsay tweeted about last season and talked about trying to sign? At 6'9" and 419 pounds the notion of having the strongest man in Iceland and one of the strongest in the world blocking for Andrew Luck seemed kind of nice.So what happened to him? Irsay mentioned him, but than the idea seemed to drop off the radar.@deerhuntr23It...

Follow @MarcusDugan While Indianapolis was abuzz through the weekend with Indy 500 qualifying (Congrats, Ed Carpenter) and the NBA Eastern Conference Finals (Nice work, Pacers), the Colts quietly wrapped up their rookie minicamp on the Northwest side of the city. Chuck Pagano backs Robert Mathis

The fact that star pass rusher Robert Mathis has been suspended for the first four games of the 2014 season still hasn't fully hit the Indianapolis Colts. It likely won't hit them until their season opener against the Denver Broncos on Sept. 7. But Colts coach Chuck Pagano is confident that his team "will get through" whatever challenges they face without Mathis...

This is something you have never heard before: Snoop Dogg now has a connection with the Indianapolis Colts. Let that sink in real quick, as you try to figure out how in the world this came about. I Believe Robert Mathis

Colts linebacker Robert Mathis(Photo: IndyStar/Matt Detrich) Yes, I am a Colts fan. And I am a Pacers fan. But as a former journalist, I do my best to always be accurate. And I do try to be objective. When I read the news about Colts linebacker Robert Mathis’ four-game suspension for performance-enhancing drugs, my first reaction was utter shock. Followed by disappointment. Then...

NFL responds to agent’s statement regarding Robert Mathis

Typically, the NFL says nothing about the suspension of a player for violating the policy regarding performance-enhancing substances. As a practical matter, this allows the player and/or his agent to offer up to the public a dog-ate-my-homework-style excuse that would then be unchallenged by the NFL. In the case of Colts defensive end Robert Mathis, the NFL has departed from its...
