Orlando Scandrick is living the good life in L.A. The Los Angeles Times reported Sunday that the Cowboys cornerback has purchased a house in the Hollywood Hills for $2.1 million. Scandrick, a 25-year-old native of Torrance, Calif., received a five-year extension worth $27 million last August. The deal included $10 million guaranteed. According to the Times, Scandrick’s new digs are set beneath the famed Hollywood sign. It’s a contemporary house featuring retractable walls of glass and a top-floor master bedroom. Set in about 3,500 square feet, the house’s outdoor amenities include a sunken spa. Built in 2009, the three-story house has downtown and canyon views, the Times reported. Cowboys fans should hope Scandrick’s new home also includes a film room. The Boise State alum was part of a unit that ranked 23rd in the league in pass defense last season, yielding 244.1 yards per outing.

2011 Dallas Cowboys season in review

It is really hard to evaluate the middle of the NFL pie each year. The Cowboys were 8-8 in 2011 and in the playoff race until late in the 2011 season. A year ago they were 6-10 and that means they were two games better. That means they are probably getting better. However, they still need a little something to get over the hump and be a legit playoff contender. They may be on that...
