This is the first season in a long time where big names are being floated as possible trades at the NFL trade deadline. Through various sources I have heard large name NFL players like Vick, Steven Jackson, Dwayne Bowe, Deangelo Williams, Tim Tebow and Takeo Spikes being floated as possible trades before the Thursday 4pm deadline. Lets imagine for a second the Bengals were the type of team that makes trades and how some players could help the team right now. 1. Dwayne Bowe – The Bengals are struggling to find a number 2 opposite AJ Green. They may have the future number two currently on the roster, but for whatever reason there is no one filling the vacancy left when AJ Green is double and triple covered. In could step Dwayne Bowe. Already upset with the Chiefs for not giving him a long term deal and using the franchise tag, Bowe is a legitimate number 1 threat who paired with AJ could take the Bengals passing game to the next level. Bowe has had a problem with drops but has been a solid performer in his time in KC.   2. Steven Jackson – The Bengals can not run the ball. Sure, BJGE gets a lot of the blame for this from the fans, but the line is not doing the best job of giving the Bengals backs the holes they need to get to the second level. Perhaps adding a veteran back in the last year of his current deal could jump start the ground game. Jackson has put up solid numbers his whole career and has done so on some bad Rams teams. The excitement that would come from signing him would also fill seats at Paul Brown.   3. Deangelo Williams – Same as above. A back that is used to working in a committee and has produced on some poor teams in the past.         4. LeGarrette Blount – Another tough back that has put up decent numbers in his short career. The upside to him is he is making league minimum and is currently being outplayed in Tampa.         We know the Bengals could use some line help, however there does not seem to be much buzz around any interior lineman in trade talks. This is something the team may need to address in the offseason depending on how players come back from injury. Adding any of the players above could help the team to kickstart its offense and for Mike Brown it could kick start ticket sales.
