Cowboys' Ware sprains neck, carted off field

Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware has been immobilized on a stretcher and carted off the field after his head slammed into a San Diego lineman. Ware was pursing quarterback Philip Rivers early in the fourth quarter Sunday when he collided into Brandyn Dombrowski. Ware's head went straight into Dombrowski's upper leg, then Ware remained on the ground. Ware was tended to on the field by medical personnel, who stabilized the Pro Bowl linebacker before putting him on the stretcher.
