IRVING – The Dallas Cowboys are set to place starting rookie left guard Bill Nagy on season-ending injured reserve and replace him on the 53-man roster with Montroe Holland, who was cut before the start of the season.
An ninth-year player, Holland has logged 50 career starts, including four in the last three years with Dallas.
Nagy suffered a broken ankle in the 20-16 loss to New England and Sunday. He was replaced by undrafted rookie Kevin Kowalski. It’s uncertain whether Holland or Kowalski will start when the Cowboys (2-3) hosts St. Louis (0-5) this weekend.
In other injury news, running back Felix Jones is expected to miss two-to-four weeks with a high ankle sprain, according to ESPNDallas.com.
