The Dallas Cowboys have signed first-round draft pick Morris Claiborne to a four-year contract. Claiborne signed the deal Monday, and the cornerback will be able to practice when rookies and selected veterans have three days of workouts at Valley Ranch starting Wednesday before the full training camp in California. While the Cowboys didn't release contract details, a story on the team's website said the deal was worth $16.4 million, including a $10.3 million signing bonus. Dallas traded up eight spots and lost its second-round draft pick in April to get Claiborne, the All-America cornerback from LSU. Claiborne, expected to start opposite Brandon Carr, missed offseason workouts because of surgery before the draft to repair ligament damage in his left wrist.

The Ball Is In Your Hands, Dez Bryant

You know his name. You've heard the story. But you don't know the man that is Dez Bryant. He wears No. 88. It's the same number Drew Pearson wore. It's also the same number Michael Irvin wore. But, wearing a number that a Dallas Cowboy legend wore doesn't guarantee success. It only adds fuel to the fire. The fire is Dez Bryant. The fuel is whatever drives him...

Scratching the NFL Itch: Dallas Cowboys Preview

The Dallas Cowboys were a lot of things last season, successful is NOT one of the terms I would use though. Just take a look at how their first game against the Jets played out. Going into the fourth quarter the Cowboys were up 14 and to that point had never given up a lead [...] [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for full links, other content, and more! ]]
