Cowboys could get Martin Rucker after all

The Cowboys might be able to get another crack at tight end Martin Rucker. Tampa Bay waived Rucker on Wednesday after he failed the physical. The Cowboys put a claim in on Rucker but the Buccaneers were awarded him based on their 3-13 record last season. I'm not sure what the medical issue is with Rucker, but he was not waived/injured by Philadelphia on Monday. Teams have different sets of standards on when and how they pass a player on a physical. The Cowboys had a trade all set with Denver in 2006 for wide receiver Charlie Adams. The Broncos would have received a 2007 sixth-round pick in return, but the Cowboys had medical concerns and the deal was rescinded.
