Sportsday:
The Cowboys might be able to get another crack at tight end Martin Rucker.
Tampa Bay waived Rucker on Wednesday after he failed the physical. The Cowboys put a claim in on Rucker but the Buccaneers were awarded him based on their 3-13 record last season.
I'm not sure what the medical issue is with Rucker, but he was not waived/injured by Philadelphia on Monday. Teams have different sets of standards on when and how they pass a player on a physical.
The Cowboys had a trade all set with Denver in 2006 for wide receiver Charlie Adams. The Broncos would have received a 2007 sixth-round pick in return, but the Cowboys had medical concerns and the deal was rescinded.
