Its hard to believe, but with the victory today against the Eagles and the Giants losing, the Cowboys are still in it for the NFC East title. The Cowboys have a longshot at making the playoffs at 4-5 and the rest of the conference playing better. So, the Cowboys need to clinch the NFC East to get in the playoffs, that’s what this victory means today. No one is coming out of the East as a wild card, you either clinch it or you stay home in January. The Cowboys had some good plays, and some luck on their side today, and they will certainly need more of that the rest of the season. One play here, and one play there seems to be the difference with the Cowboys victories and losses, nothing has been definitive. As it stands now, the Eagles and Redskins will likely play the role of spoiler for the Giants and Cowboys, it’ll be up to them to run the table at the end of the day. Lets look at the remaining games. Giants: Bye Week, @Redskins, Saints, @Falcons, @Ravens, Eagles Cowboys: Browns, R...

Dallas Cowboys outlast rookie QB Foles, Eagles

The Dallas Cowboys have saved their season for another week. On Sunday afternoon, they finally played some inspired football en route to a 38-23 whipping of lousy division foe, the Philadelphia Eagles. Garrett knows what you get with Romo

IRVING, Texas Jason Garrett spent a few minutes discussing one of Tony Romo's best plays of the season after Sunday's 38-23 victory in Philadelphia. Following his Monday press conference, the Cowboys coach went into greater detail for about 10 minutes, talking about Romo's ability to extend plays. With the Cowboys down 17-10 in the third quarter, Romo bounced around...

Still searching for the right answers

The Cowboys accomplished plenty of rare things on Sunday. One that jumps off the page is the fact that they scored a special teams TD, an interception TD, and a fumble TD all in the same quarter. According to Elias, that is the first time since San Francisco did it in 1966, so any stat that gives you over 40 years to consider you can understand how rare a feat it was. Of course...

Eric Frampton’s Bare Ass Gets TV Time During Eagles-Cowboys

Normally I wouldn’t post a guy’s bare ass from a football game because we like women and don’t take enjoyment in looking at a man’s bare ass, especially a Cowboys’ ass. However, our female readership demands such videos, so here is Cowboys strong safety Eric Frampton getting depantsed against Philly. Meanwhile, the Eagles got drilled 38-23, Michael Vick was knocked out...

Cowboys can focus on NFC East after win at Philly

The Dallas Cowboys can finally talk about the NFC East race, now that they are back in it. A week ago, the Cowboys lost to Atlanta and speculation centered on whether Sean Payton might replace coach Jason Garrett. On Sunday, there was a report that Mike Holmgren might be interested if Garrett was out. Garrett spent all week deflecting the Payton questions, and owner Jerry Jones...

Cowboys-Eagles Preview And Reader Emails

The Cowboys play the Eagles in a desperation game on Sunday and there is no question that both teams are in a real similar spot. I assume everyone has hashed and rehashed all of the Michael VickAndy Reid narratives up against the Jason GarrettTony Romo types and have noted how similar the season has been in both cities. High expectations and low performances bring the two teams...

2 faces of November: Tony Romo vs Eli Manning

We’re seeing something this season very similar to what we have over the last five years in the quality of play from Tony Romo and Eli Manning during the month of November. For some odd reason, the performances over the last five years or so of these two elite quarterbacks have been closely compared but in November they seem to end up on opposite ends of the field. It turns out...

Today’s showdown between the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys at Lincoln Financial Field marks a battle of desperation.
