Found November 10, 2012 on Fox Sports Southwest:
The Cowboys play the Eagles in a desperation game on Sunday and there is no question that both teams are in a real similar spot. I assume everyone has hashed and rehashed all of the Michael VickAndy Reid narratives up against the Jason GarrettTony Romo types and have noted how similar the season has been in both cities. High expectations and low performances bring the two teams together on the field on Sunday afternoon. Odds are pretty good that both teams are in very bad shape moving forward in an attempt to find the postseason, however, it should be noted that both teams have an extremely manageable schedule heading in. Part of the reason for that is that they get to play 2 games against each-other in this equation, and if either team can sweep, then they have a real opportunity to rise up at the other's expense. It has certainly been well documented as to why the Eagles offense is poor. Like Dallas, their offensive line is in shambles. However, unlike Dallas, it is due lar...

Michael Vick Injured in Cowboys-Eagles Matchup With Concussion, Will Not Return (Animation)

The Nick Foles era is starting earlier than expected. Michael Vick went down mid-way through the second quarter after taking a blow to his head. After being assessed on the sideline for an eye and head injury, he’s been ruled out for the rest of the game with a concussion. Vick was scrambling on the play when defensive tackle Jay Ratliff landed on the Eagles’ quarterback awkwardly...

Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles: Week 10 NFL Pick

Dallas Cowboys (3-5) at Philadelphia Eagles (3-5) Last week, I enjoyed a relatively successful week. I hit 4 of my 6 big plays and went 9-5 overall, but it could have been a lot better. I hit my first 4 big plays and if I had hit my last 2, I would have enjoyed my best week ever, rather than just a strong week. I also was undefeated straight up until the Giants lost to the Steelers...

Jason Garrett: Innovative or obsessive?

PHILADELPHIA -- Let's debate about whether it's a stroke of detail-acknowledging genius or some anal-retentive poppycock. Let's debate about whether the Dallas Cowboys' reasoning for wanting to get the ball to start the second half on the road represents an innovative path to an edge, or a reach for a 3-5 team that maybe oughta just block, tackle, throw, catch and...

Cowboys without RB DeMarco Murray again

IRVING, Texas (AP) -- The Dallas Cowboys will be without running back DeMarco Murray for the fourth consecutive game. Murray (sprained right foot) was listed out for Sunday's game at Philadelphia when the Cowboys released the injury report Friday. Center Phil Costa (ankle) and defensive tackle Sean Lissemore (ankle) will also miss another game. Linebacker Dan Connor was listed...

NFL Rumors: Would Jon Gruden Insist Philadelphia Eagles Cut Michael Vick Before Accepting Head Coaching Job?

If the NFL rumors are true, then former Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Oakland Raiders head coach Jon Gruden may have an itch to leave the broadcast booth of Monday Night Football and return to the coaching sidelines. Of course, any time a head coach is rumored to be on the chopping block – especially with a team with tradition or money to spend – Gruden’s name unmistakably comes...

Report: Concussion will likely keep Michael Vick from playing next week

According to Howard Eskin of FOX 29 in Philly, Eagles quarterback Michael Vick likely won’t play in next week’s game after suffering a concussion during today’s loss to the Cowboys. I’m not sure how anyone knows whether Vick will play or not next week, when its only been a few hours since he was concussed.   var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement...

Cowboys RB Murray still out with foot sprain

Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray will miss his fourth straight game Sunday against the host Philadelphia Eagles because of a sprained left foot, ESPN Dallas reported Friday. Murray did not practice this week but was seen Thursday wearing a helmet and cleats for his rehab. He spent much of Friday's portion of practice that was open to the media working out in the...

Michael Vick leaves game with possible concussion

Michael Vick left Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys with a possible concussion. Nick Foles warmed up and came into the game on the Philadelphia Eagles next series. The back of Vick’s helmet snapped and hit the ground one play after Cowboys NT Jay Ratliff landed with force on his back. Foles had not seen any action prior to this and threw an incomplete pass on his only...

Football Gameplan’s Week 10 Preview Cowboys @ Eagles

Take a look at Football Gameplan’s Week 10 Preview as the Cowboys head into Philly. Who is going to 3-6? Despite what is being said, both coaches Andy Reid and Jason Garrett are fighting for their coaching careers.

Philly Sports World Fantasy week 10 sits/starts game of the week

Last weeks game of the week picking the Dolphins in a close game found me on the short-end of the stick dropping my season record to 5-4. Turning it around and taking the hard route my pick this week, Cowboys 24- Eagles 13. Yes “The Boys” stink and the Eagles, well they are dysfunctional. Start them> Any Cowboy receiver, take your pick as the Eagles defense with their overpaid...

Jon Gruden is said to be quietly attempting to build a staff for possible return to coaching

The” Jon Gruden is returning to coaching” story made its rounds on yesterday and now it’s really beginning to pick up steam. The originator of it all was WIP’s Howard Eskin, who tweeted that Gruden could be the Eagles next head coach. That’s assuming, as most are, that Andy Reid gets canned. Eskin doubled down on statement earlier today on the WIP Morning Show where he...
