As the Dallas Cowboys prepare for the their big matchup with the Denver Broncos on Sunday, players, especially on the defensive side of the ball, are being asked time and time again about one thing - facing quarterback Peyton Manning, who's tearing it up so far in this young season. Linebacker Ernie Sims apparently had just about all he could take of the constant Manning talk. "I'm sick of hearing about Peyton Manning," Sims said, per The Dallas Morning News. "We just got to go out there and do what we've got to do." "You hear it all the time when a guy walks into the locker room: 'Peyton Manning threw for four touchdowns, this and that.' Yeah, he's a great player. You can't take that away from him. But at the end of the day, we're all competitors. And me being a competitor, I don't like that. I am ready to play football."
BEST OF MAXIM
Peyton Manning can do a lot of things on the football field. He can throw the ball better than anyone with the kind of accuracy that a sniper dreams of having. He can dissect opposing defenses with robot like precision, and make everyone around him so much better than they are. Oh-and he can run for touchdowns too. @SBNationGIF/Twitter Peyton Manning for President. Seriously...
Peyton Manning is a machine folks, the guy now has 19 touchdowns in just 4 1/2 games. Manning even rushed for a touchdown today. The last rushing touchdown of his was 62 games ago when he was a Colt. He is the best quarterback to ever play the game. If you have an opportunity to […]
Cowboys are doing a lot of chirping about the Broncos and Peyton Manning. If this was the playoffs I would say the Cowboys would have a good shot, but since it is the regular season, I don’t think these quotes are going to help.
“I’m sick of hearing about Peyton Manning this and that and that,” said linebacker Ernie Sims, who expects to replace struggling starter Bruce Carter...
While everyone on the Dallas Cowboys defense piled on Knowshon Moreno at the goal line, Peyton Manning faked out everyone by moseying in for his first rushing touchdown in five years.
Manning already had three TD passes in the first half and — after this third-and-goal jog — the Broncos quarterback even did a little fist pump as he crossed the goal line.
What happens when two teams that are going in completely opposite directions meet up on Sunday? The biggest point spread in NFL history.
Peyton Manning and Denver (5-0) will play at Jacksonville (0-5) in a game where the Broncos are favored by 28.5 points. And that's just the early line, meaning that it could move higher or lower before the 4 p.m. kick.
The Broncos have the...
Peyton Manning is better than most other folks in the NFL. Here is the old man scoring on a bootleg which fooled everyone who saw it. The last time he scored on a rushing touchdown was in 2008 with the Colts.

IRVING, Texas A bad day in San Diego has apparently cost Cowboys linebacker Bruce Carter his starting job.
Ernie Sims, who replaced Carter when he was benched last Sunday, said he's listed on the depth chart as the starter at weakside linebacker. Sims said he's been taking practice repetitions with the starters in both the base and nickel defenses.
"On the board they...
The Seattle Seahawks are facing the same gauntlet in 2013 as they did in 2009, with the AFC South on the schedule. The one year under Jim Mora produced several memorable moments and games.
The game against the Colts was one of those moments with Peyton Manning doing what he does best on a day when the Seahawks were missing both Matt Hasselbeck and Walter Jones.
The Eagles were a topic of conversation on the Manning brothers' phone call this week. They played Peyton Manning last Sunday and face Eli Manning this Sunday when the Eagles visit the New York Giants.
When the Eagles defense watches film it sees the same last name on the back of the jersey and many of the same mannerisms. But the brothers are not the same quarterback as the...
Tweet Now that the first month of the 2013 NFL season is in the books, the league has announced it’s winners for Player of the Month honors with little to no surprises. Peyton Manning took home Player of the Month for the AFC, while New Orleans Saints Jimmy Graham beasted his way to top honors […]
When the Denver Broncos come to town on Sunday Dallas fans will get to see the best quarterback in the NFL in Peyton Manning. But Cowboys owner and General Manager Jerry Jones says signing Manning in free agency last year wouldn’t have been the right move for the Cowboys.
Jones said on KRLD-FM in Dallas that after the Colts cut Manning last year the Cowboys weren’t interested...
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -- Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos stayed unbeaten after Tony Romo made one late mistake in a record-setting game.
Manning kept up his torrid pace with four touchdown passes, and Matt Prater kicked a 28-yard field goal as time expired for a 51-48 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.
Romo threw for 506 yards and five touchdowns, the first 500-yard...
According to Todd Archer of ESPNDallas.com, the Cowboys have benched linebacker Bruce Carter in favor of Ernie Sims.
Ernie Sims says he's starting at weak side linebacker this week. Been taking first team snaps over Bruce Carter

After amassing a commanding lead, Andy went big in Week 4–and his losses put him back within reach for my bets in Week 5.
Andy lost $800 on the Bears, Miami and St. Louis/San Francisco, only picking up one win in the terrible Cardinals/Bucs game.
Meanshile, I plodded along at 2-2 for the week–bot lost my two bigger bets ($200 on the Bears straight up and $300 on the Bungles)...
The 1-3 Eagles travel to Jersey to take on the 0-4 Giants. Well, if this isn’t the battle of the pee-wees, I don’t know what is. The Eagles beat a 1-2 team, and lost to a 2-2 team…and two 4-0 teams. The Giants lost to those same two 4-0 teams (pattern here?), plus a 2-2 team and a 1-2 team. Hey, at least the Eagles *beat* our 1-2 team.
I know the Giants are desperate for...
