The Cowboys extended the contract of DE Sean Lissemore Thursday, adding three years and $3.1 million in guarantees to the deal, according to the teams website. The third-year linemans previous contract ran through the 2013 season.
Lissemore saw time in all 16 games in 2011 as a rotational player, tallying 28 tackles and two sacks, and rotated with DT Josh Brent to fill in for injured DT Jay Ratliff at nose tackle last week against the Giants.
The Cowboys drafted Lissemore in the seventh round of the 2010 draft.

NFL week 2 predictions: Dallas Cowboys on upset alert in Seattle
The Dallas Cowboys looked perfect in week one against the New York Giants. The offense, led by Tony Romo moved the ball at will against the Big Blue defense and the fans in Dallas are already predicting a run to the Super Bowl.
Last week I nailed the upset in the game between the Cardinals and the Seahawks as I picked the Cardinals to win outright as small home dogs. Now it is...
Fantasy Football: Week #2 Waiver Wire Pickups
Written by Fantasy Furnace
It was great having football back last weekend! Drafts are over and the craziness that was week #1 is now in the books. Now comes the hard part. Deciding which of the several breakout stars of week 1 to grab or just leave alone. However, the pickups made before week 2 are usually the most important for grabbing potential studs. Study carefully...
Recalling the 2006 Playoff Loss. Again.
Tony Romo may never have a positive legacy because of The Botch during the 2006 playoffs.
The 2006 season was the first one I covered for this blog. The Cowboys looked very mediocre early that season as Drew Bledsoe continued to earn a “statue” nickname and Terrell Owens did little to help the Cowboys stand out.
Then came the emergence of a new quarterback. He played college...
Jason Witten on his spleen injury: “It’s kind of a different injury than all others”
Spleens are serious business, just ask Chris Simms. Jason Witten the all world tight end of the Dallas Cowboys suffered a lacerated spleen in the preseason, however, he was able to make it back for the first game of the year against the New York Giants. Witten, who is know to be tough as nails explains how a spleen injury differs from tradition sports injuries, Witten gave a visit...
Returning to Seattle won't be a snap for Romo
One of the worst moments of Tony Romo's football career, if not the worst, had nothing to do with him playing quarterback. On Jan. 6, 2007, it appeared that Romo would lead the Dallas Cowboys to a wild-card playoff win in Seattle.
He'd moved his team to Seattle's 2-yard line with 1:19 left in the game after tight end Jason Witten was stopped just short of a first down...

Previously on Outside the Boxscore, we featured a video of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones getting his glasses cleaned by his son-in-law, Shy Anderson.
Well, it looks like that Jerry got the joke and has decided to cash in on the humor of it all. The Cowboys will start selling Jerry Wipes to help clean your glasses, seriously...this is real:

Dallas Cowboys need to be weary of Leon Washington
When the Dallas Cowboys take on the Seattle Seahawks, there will be a lot of focus on shutting down the Seahawks offense. After a rather vanilla game plan last week vs. Arizona, Dallas will look to take advantage of rookie QB Russell Wilson and force him into mistakes. They will also likely stuff the box full of run stoppers to try and account for Marshawn Lynch.
Lynch represents...

Mike Jenkins said Wednesday that he feels no bitterness toward the Cowboys for adding two starting cornerbacks in the off-season.
The 27-year-old former Pro Bowl cornerback was the only team member that didnt attend voluntary off-season workouts at Valley Ranch, leading to speculation that he was unhappy with the additions of Brandon Carr and Morris Claiborne.

Cowboys LB DeMarcus Ware Says His Hamstring Injury Is Nothing To Worry About
DeMarcus Ware promises to be at his Sunday best, calling his limited participation in practice "precautionary."
"I went through all of the drills and the stuff I needed to do, so I was good," Ware said. "Its just something you just muscle through, and after a while, it just heals up, and you keep rolling. You figure out how to play with it and keep going...

Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Jay Ratliff is out this Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks with an ankle injury. Ratliff also missed the season opener last week against the New York Giants. Inside the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Locker Room (PHOTOS!)
They’re the world’s most famous cheerleading squad. Not just in the NFL, but the entire world; including NBA dance teams, college football and college basketball. The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, or “America’s Sweethearts,” as they’re known in Texas, are a group with a more stringent selection process than Princeton University.
Well mathematically speaking anyway.
