NFL Injury Report:
While Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant and running
back DeMarco Murray were full participants at practice Thursday, defensive
lineman DeMarcus Ware was sidelined for the second day in a row due to shoulder
and elbow injuries, reports Charean Williams of The Fort Worth Star Telegram.
Linebacker DeMarcus Ware missed practice again Thursday with
shoulder and elbow injuries. He played in only 59 of 95 plays in Sunday's game
after leaving with a shoulder strain. He left with 30 seconds remaining in the
third quarter and returned for one play of overtime.
Despite not practicing yet this week, Ware has vowed to play
Sunday during the Cowboys’ pivotal matchup against the Washington Redskins,
according to Williams.
Dallas has already ruled defensive lineman Jay Ratliff, who underwent
sports hernia surgery two weeks go, as out against Washington. Beyond Bryant
(finger) and Murray (foot), running back Felix Jones (knee) and linebacker
Ernie Sims (concussion) were also full participants during Thursday’s practice.

Jerry Jones gave Dez Bryant the number 88 when he drafted him. It is the same number worn by Hall of Famer Michael Irvin and should-be Hall of Famer (and recent Ring of Honor inductee) Drew Pearson. To old Cowboy fans like me, it is a pretty special number in Cowboys lore.
On April 23, 2010, ESPN.com quoted Jones giving his reason for giving Dez the hallowed 88:
“I think that Dez...
