Dallas Cowboys receiver Kevin Ogletree had caught 25 passes for 294 yards with zero touchdowns in his first thee NFL seasons.  On Thursday night he had a breakout game against the defending world champion New York Giants, catching eight passes for 114 yards and two touchdowns.

The Giants secondary focused on Dez Bryant and Miles Austin, leaving the undrafted free agent out of Virginia Ogletree open.

Ogletree was born in New York City and was able to visit his brother Calvin, who owns a car-rental shop in Queens.  Calvin was shot in the head by gunmen on bicycles in January and is still recovering from the injuries.  The crime is still unsolved.

"I felt very good when I woke up this morning," Ogletree said on Wednesday. "I got to go see my brother. Really good vibes. I think about him all the time. He's a big inspiration in my life."

Ogletree signed a one-year contract in March for $640,000.

Ogletree's opportunity to shine came when Miles Austin was sidelined with a hamstring injury for much of the preseason.  Ogletree caught 10 passes for 147 yards to lead the Cowboys in preseason games.

"Kevin's going to get the first ones when Miles is out, but Dwayne Harris is right there, Andre Holmes is right there and some of the other guys who've been here. We want to give them a chance to play early on in training camp and early in the preseason games to see how they can handle it."
