Its unlikely that linebacker Dan Connor will be able to play Sunday night against Atlanta.
The Cowboys were still awaiting the results of an MRI late Monday afternoon. But since Connor has experienced a stinger in consecutive games, the club will be reluctant to put him back on the field so quickly.
I dont have anything specific on Dan yet, head coach Jason Garrett said. It is a shoulder injury he had that leads up into his neck that hes had before.
Well just see how he is going forward.
Connor replaced Sean Lee, who will have toe surgery this week and miss the remainder of the season.

Cowboys LB Connor leaves with neck strain
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -- Cowboys linebacker Dan Connor never returned after halftime of Sunday's game against the New York Giants because of a neck strain.
Connor, who started in place of injured leading tackler Sean Lee, got hurt early in the second quarter. He remained down on the ground at the end of a play when the Giants fumbled.
The Cowboys said Connor was out of the...
Jones responds to Aikman’s criticism of Dez
Everyone seems to have an opinion on Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant. Troy Aikman just happens to get paid to state his opinion about the talented but mistake prone third year player. “I don’t know of any player in this league that can do the things that he has done to hurt his football team and stay in the game,” Aikman said, according to the New School show on 105...
Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray's Status Uncertain
After missing two games with a sprained foot, Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray might need another week to recover and is uncertain for Sunday's game against the undefeated Falcons in Atlanta, Calvin Watkins of ESPN Dallas reports.
"We'll just have to see," Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said Monday. "It seems like he's moving around a little bit...
Could the Bucs make a trade for Cowboys’ Jenkins?
About half way through the 2012 season, we know where the Buccaneers rank in pass defense. If you don’t, they are 31st. That is second to last in the league in defending the pass. With the league postponing the NFL trade deadline until Thursday afternoon and the possibility of being without another cornerback, will Tampa Bay make a move to boost their secondary? It is being reported...
10 Things I Hate About You: Dallas Cowboys Edition
The Cowboys are 3-4. In my mind, they should be 6-1. The only game they really just got beaten was the Chicago game. They should have beaten Seattle. They should have beaten Baltimore. And they most certainly, despite falling down 23-0 midway though the 2nd quarter, should have beaten the Giants today. Without further ado, [...]

Five thoughts on Cowboys' loss to Giants
ARLINGTON, Texas The Cowboys were down 23-0 and rallied to score 24 unanswered. But it was not enough, losing to the New York Giants 29-24.
Here are my five thoughts.
1. It's amazing how the Cowboys can toy with their fan base. One minute they look like the worst team in the league and the next minute they make you think they're a playoff contender. While Sunday's...
Hog Report: Cowboys' O-Line Historically Bad, Romo Pays the Price
The Cowboys can not run block, forcing Tony Romo to pass 62 times on Sunday, but the Patriots o-hogs are as good as any of Belichick's history.
Cowboys waiting on Murray, not concerned about Bryant
The return of DeMarco Murray in Week 9 is far from certain. Murrary has been hobbled with an injured foot and did not play in Sunday’s loss to the New York Giants.
“It seems like he’s moving around a little bit better,” Garrett said. “Again, that’s an injury you have to be patient with. We don’t want to rush him back then take any backward steps. We’ll see how he...
Cowboys CB Mike Jenkins Available For A Fourth-Round Pick?
ESPNDallas.coms Todd Archer believes the Cowboys could receive a fourth-round pick if they decide to move cornerback Mike Jenkins before Thursdays trade deadline.
He is also in the last year of his contract and is playing in a backup role so far. Contending teams need cornerbacks and Jenkins might be able to bring some in return, but his contractual future makes a trade a...
Dez Bryant’s Out-of-Bounds Game-Winning Touchdown Catch Still Blows My Mind
The New York Giants beat the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday by five points because Dez Bryant couldn’t move his hand about 3 inches. In actuality, the Cowboys lost the game because Tony Romo threw the ball to the Giants 7 million times. The effort by Bryant was spectacular. It was a great catch, but unfortunately his hand landed a couple inches out-of-bounds.
Fans bash Cowboys’ Tony Romo on Twitter during game with Giants
Fans bashed Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo on Twitter thanks to his four interceptions against the New York Giants on Sunday. The Giants beat the Cowboys 29-24. In fact, the Giants jumped to a 23-0 lead and that drove Dallas fans crazy. The Dallas Morning News collected a few hysterical tweets as the Cowboys were imploding:

Week 8 Injury Report NY Giants vs Dallas Cowboys
TweetThe week 8 injury report for the game between the NY Giants and Dallas Cowboys has a serious question mark for Big Blue. The list isn't long but a key player is in limbo 4 hours before kickoff.
Kenny Phillips, Rocky Bernard and Jacquian Williams are definitely ruled out. Hakeem Nicks has been moved from questionable to probable as has Center David Baas. Ahmad Bradshaw however is...
Your Week 8 Late Games Open Thread
The Cowboys have experienced the largest dropoff in hometown viewership among all NFL teams. The ratings in the Dallas-Fort Worth area are down 18 percent from the same point a year ago. If that weren’t bad enough, after Dallas fans were drowned out by visiting Bears supporters during the loss on Monday night at home against Chicago, the team had to initiate a campaign to get the...
