Great Moment in Dallas Cowboys History: Clinching the NFC East in 1973

The year 1973 was not a great one in Dallas Cowboys history, but it is notable for a few reasons. It was the last time that the old guard from the late 1960s reached the playoffs. That team still featured the likes of Bob Lilly, Bob Hayes, Walt Garrison, Calvin Hill, and Cornell Green. Some new blood had arrived at that point, most notably in the form of rookie wide receiver Drew...

Some early thoughts on the Cowboys 2012 schedule

The long wait came to end last night as the NFL released the 2012 NFL schedule. So many fans could not wait to look at their teams schedules to see who they played first, did they have any primetime game, were they home or away for more than two weeks in a row, when were the division games being played. Then I’m sure most fans like me went down the schedule one game at time thinking...

Witten: Cowboys have 'plenty of leaders'

SOUTHLAKE, Texas -- During a local radio interview in February, Cowboys defensive end Jason Hatcher was asked who the leaders were on the Cowboys roster. Hatcher struggled to give an answer before replying, "That's a good question. I really don't know." Hatcher, who was a guest on The Ben and Skin Show on 103.3 KESN-FM, went on to say the Cowboys lacked a vocal...

Boss Move? Tony Romo Back On Golf Course 5 Days After Birth Of Son

And here we figured women wanted the husband/BF around 24/7 after the birth of a child to do chores like changing deuce diapers and make lunch. Pfft, not if you’re Tony Romo. Remember how his wife gave birth a week ago Monday? It was Candice Crawford’s first baby. We figure there is like a two-week period where it’s like baby vacation. Just sit around and stare at the kid...
