On the first full day of the 2011 NFL season, the Cowboys have released word that they will cut veterans Roy Williams, Marc Colombo, Leonard Davis and Marion Barber. Joining them on the chopping block will be veteran kicker Kris Brown. Brown was brought in late in 2010 to provide an alternative to David Buehler, who had been struggling with his field goal kicking. Brown made four of five field goals while with the Chargers in 2010, while Buehler made 24 of 32 for Dallas. Buehlers ability on kickoffs will become even more important with the leagues new kickoff rules. Brown was scheduled to make $910,000 in 2011.
