NFL Trade Rumors:
Nick Eatman reports that the Dallas Cowboys placed LB Justin Durant on season-ending injured reserve on Tuesday.
Dallas also waived DT Drake Nevis and LB Kyle Bosworth, according to Eatman.
Eatman adds that more moves are expected from the Cowboys in the near future as well.
Durant, 28, suffered a hamstring injury during Sunday’s demoralizing loss to the Packers. He has one year remaining on his current deal and will make $1.25 million for the 2014 season.
Durant produced 24 tackles, a forced fumble as well as fumble recovery for the Cowboys’ defense.

Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett explained that Tony Romo checked out of a run play and into a pass play which led to him throwing an interception late in Sunday’s game against the Packers that allowed Green Bay to pull out the comeback win.
“The idea was to run the ball and make them use clock,” said Garrettt via the Fort Worth Star-Telegram...
“You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.” Harvey Dent was right. While playoff dreams waddle away like a penguin for the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins, the NFC East is riddled with jokes. Bane stories begin to surface and spread like poison ivy about two-faced coaching staffs. There is no doubt that every coach...
It’s not easy being a fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
The team is mired in mediocrity and the quarterback who presides over some of th biggest miscues of the past few seasons is Tony Romo.
Romo has been labeled a choker in big situations and even though it’s not always his fault, the Cowboys quarterback has failed at some of the most important times during his career.
It is forgotten...
Jerry Jones was raging mad after the Cowboys let another victory slip from their hands. Catching Jones when he’s mad is a sure fire way to get a boat load of backpage quotes.
Jones didn’t disappoint on Sunday evening.
Jones of course was faced with several questions in regards to whether or not he still planned to retain Jason Garrett as head coach in 2014 despite the Cowboys...
There might be many fans who were at a loss for words last night when the Dallas Cowboys lost; join the club. Trying to write an article to describe what had just happened was difficult because it seems like it’s the same thing every week with this team. So while thinking about it, and putting it off, because it shouldn’t be the same as every other article you read, I came...
Owner Jerry Jones does not want to discuss the future of coach Jason Garrett while the Dallas Cowboys remain in the playoff hunt. That much is abundantly clear.
If the Cowboys fail on national television with a chance to win the division for the third consecutive season finale, though, all bets are off.
NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport and NFL Media columnist Michael Silver reported...
In an interview, Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said that he intends to speak with Dez Bryant about leaving the field early after a loss.
The NFL season is gradually winding down the stretch, and once again the Dallas Cowboys have received a tremendous amount of scrutiny and skepticism from the outside surrounding their recent comeback defeat suffered at the hands of the Green Bay Packers. The recent home defeat to Green Bay was one which served to dramatically hamper Dallas’ postseason hopes and to once again reignite...
Let me get this out of the way right from the start: There is not a head football coach at any level from high school on up — and most likely pee-wee football, if I’m being honest — alive who knows less about football than me or any other everyday football fan out there. Every single […]The post Chip Kelly, Jason Garrett And The ‘VP Of Common Sense’ appeared first on...
Most NFL teams have general managers to help their owners make football decisions. But the Dallas Cowboys aren’t like most franchises, and owner Jerry Jones is far from the typical owner.
Tuesday on his radio show, Jones explained why he’s never hired a GM and why he doesn’t plan to anytime soon:
“It’s often said that, why don’t I get...
“Dez and his Cowboys teammates paid visits to 4 different area hospitals on Monday, December 16th. The Boys played Santa Clause delivering gifts and telling stories with the kids at Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas” says Dezbryant.com. The wide receiver is remarked as a cheerful giver, especially around this time of the year. Dez Bryant also adopted a family this...
The 2013 marks just the fourth time in franchise history that the Cowboys have begun a season at 7-7. The three previous seasons were 1965, 1986, and 1999.
None of those seasons was memorable. However, each was noteworthy in the context of franchise history, as may the 2013 season. Below are some comparisons.
What happened in 1965? Dallas had suffered through five straight...
