The Dallas Cowboys and Safety Gerald Sensabaugh come to agreements and extend his contract. Sensabaugh signed a 5 year extension worth a reported 22.5 million. Gerald has been a great asset to this team and has come up big when we needed him too. Please do not let the title of the blog miss-lead you. I don’t mean playing it safe as in they needed to make a different move. I think it was a great move to sign him to this extension.
Sensabaugh was originally drafted into the league by the Jacksonville Jaguars where he played for the first 4 years of his career. During the start of his career with Jacksonville he had 6 interceptions, 118 tackles and 0 sacks in 4 years. Once he was traded to the Cowboys in 2009, his career took off. He has had 8 interceptions with an average of over 11 yards returned.
