Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant is getting the “Pacman” Jones treatment.
He has agreed to strict guidelines from team officials regarding his off-the-field behavior.
Here are some of the rules he must follow:
• A midnight curfew. If he’s going to miss curfew, team officials must know in advance
• No drinking alcohol.
• He can’t attend any strip clubs and can only attend nightclubs if they are approved by the team and he has a security team with him.
• He must attend counseling sessions twice a week.
• A rotating three-man security team will leave one man with Bryant at all times.
• Members of the security team will drive Bryant to practices, games and team functions.
The rules stem from an incident that occurred on July 14 when Bryant was charged with allegedly assaulting his mother, Angela Bryant.
Bryant’s adviser, David Wells, is hiring a security team for the troubled receiver. Cowboys owner seems to be confident in Bryant’s future actions.

RULES OF THE GAME
The guidelines by which Dez Bryant must abide by if he wants to remain a part of the Cowboys have received much scrutiny over the last few days, but the team's outspoken owner says they weren't the team's idea.
After learning of the Dez Bryant rules that were apparently mandated by the Cowboys, there was talk that the rules could violate the CBA. But according to 105.3 The Fan, the rules don’t actually violate the CBA. Mainly because the rules were not handed down by the Cowboys. Instead, it was Dez Bryant’s inner circle that created the rules and presented them to the Cowboys.
Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant is a talent on the field, but his problems start when he steps off the field. Bryant, who is currently awaiting possible prosecution stemming from allegedly assaulting his mother, has been given a special set of rules by his club regarding his behavior off the field this season. And frankly, these rules are ridiculous.

“The guidelines Bryant agreed to took effect Aug. 23 when the team returned to...
By now we all know the deal with Dez Bryant and his new rules. The guy can’t go to strip clubs, has to be home by midnight, blah, blah, blah. It’s pretty sad that it’s come to this with Dez. The guy has all the talent in the world and just can’t seem to get his sh*t together. The guy was sued by creditors, got in a nightclub fight with Lil’ Wayne, then to top it all off...
IRVING, Texas (AP) -- Cowboys coach Jason Garrett says a series of guidelines have been put in place for Dez Bryant to hold the young receiver accountable.
While Garrett didn't go into specifics Monday, he said the team wants to support Bryant and his family. He says there is a balance in holding players accountable while also wanting to support and help them.
Forget Tony Romo and the sometimes ill-timed interception that seems to offset super-athletic flashes of utter brilliance. When it comes to off-the-charts, untapped athletic—and football—prowess, Dez Bryant is the most frustrating Dallas Cowboy of them all.
Writing his column, Shutdown Corner, for Yahoo! Sports, Doug Farrar puts it quite well:
The Dallas Cowboys have...
The Dallas Cowboys are implementing a strict set of rules and guidelines for troubled wide receiver Dez Bryant in 2012, hoping they will help him stay out of trouble and on the field as the team hopes to get back to the NFL Playoffs this season. Sources say that the rules went into effect for Bryant this past Thursday, and they are going to stand behind them going forward.
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones made headlines (as usual) this past weekend when news was revealed that the Cowboys were putting star young wide receiver Dez Bryant under strict rules to keep him out of trouble. Now Jones, arguably the most visible and involved owner in all of sports, is appearing in a Papa John’s [...]
We already mentioned that the Cowboys have committed a personal security team to Dez Bryant detail in order to keep the oft-troubled receiver from finding himself in more hot water. Of course, the Cowboys learned the hard way with Pacman Jones that a team of bodyguards isn’t enough on its own to enforce behaviorial guidelines. Further steps are necessary. Which is why the Cowboys...
