DeMarco Murray was moving around well as he went from table to table, serving Thanksgiving dinner at the Salvation Army Carr P. Collins Social Service Center in Dallas. But the Cowboys running back, who missed the last four games because of a sprained left foot, was non-committal when asked if he would play Sunday against Cleveland. “We’ll see,” Murray said. “We’ll see. I don’t know. We’ll see how it goes.” Murray added he is “dying to get out there.” “At the same time you’ve to think what’s best for the team, you’ve got to think what’s best for yourself,” he said. “I am just trying to stay patient and trying to stay mentally ready and I’ll be back out there before you know it.” In the meantime, Murray will continue to go through a battery of tests designed to evaluate his progress. Head coach Jason Garrett said Monday that “there are a lot of different thresholds that he has to get over. We keep asking to take those tests. He’s certainly making progress and we’ll see how he does. He was out there on the field last week as you guys know, moving around. We’ll see how he is the next couple of days. Hopefully he’ll do something on Wednesday.” For now, Murray is following the advice of the team’s trainers. “I’m just doing what they tell me,” he said. “We have a great medical staff here. They know what’s best for me.” Source: Dallas Morning News Attached Thumbnails

Jason Garrett, Tony Romo and the facts of life: You take the good, you take the bad

Cowboys Exercising Caution Regarding DeMarco Murray’s Injured Foot

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones doesn’t appear to be too optimistic about RB DeMarco Murray returning this week. “You want to be very comfortable for him to make his cut,” Jones said, via the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. ”All of that has to be right before he goes out there because we got to look down the road here. We hope we are in this thing and needing him on every play...

Cowboys coach Garrett's seat just got hotter

The Dallas Cowboys are back in the playoff race even though they've had little to do with it. They were able to scratch out two wins during a five-game stretch that saw them play four of five games on the road. It's not like they deserve to be in the thick of things with a 4-5 record, but that's exactly where they are thanks to the New York Giants losing two consecutive...

Cowboys defense generates big Splash Plays

What a difference a few big plays make. If only, like the team in Chicago, a game like this happened all of the time, we might think of the Cowboys as a truly elite defense. Difficult to run against, physical, and opportunistic with a few big plays that they might put into your end zone. Of course, "a game like this" is absurdly unrealistic. How much so? Well, we have...

Holmgren to Cowboys rumor—Yea, Nay or Yay!?

“I hear the weather’s nice in Dallas.” The Cowboys got a crucial win over the Eagles yesterday by riding defensive and special teams touchdowns to victory…and by knocking Michael Vick out of commission and then harassing rookie QB Nick Foles just enough.
