Dallas Cowboys rookie running back DeMarco Murray said he still considers Felix Jones to be the team's starter.
Murray has been sensational in three games since Jones suffered a high ankle sprain, rushing for a team-record 466 yards over a three-game span.
That included a spectacular 253-yard effort in his first career start.
"From my understanding, I think he’s still the starter,” Murray said of Jones. “He’s a great running back, and he was doing a great job before he went down."
Murray appears to be guaranteed at least one more start after Jones sat out practice again Thursday.
A third-round pick out of Oklahoma, Murray has rushed for 539 yards and is averaging 6.7 yards per carry.
