The Cowboys have released LB Gary Guyton, who formerly played four years with New England. Guyton had been signed by Dallas Wednesday and had practiced all week. But with CB Mike Jenkins hurting with a back injury, the Cowboys called up Vincent Agnew from the practice squad and cut Guyton to make room on the roster for Agnew. Guyton’s release does not mean LB Dan Connor (stinger) will be able to play this Sunday vs. the division-rival Eagles in Philadelphia, as Connor is listed as “doubtful” on the NFL’s late-week injury list. As for Jenkins, he underwent an MRI after having mid-week back spasms and was extremely limited in practice all week. Source: Pro Football Weekly Attached Thumbnails

The Dallas Cowboys have saved their season for another week. On Sunday afternoon, they finally played some inspired football en route to a 38-23 whipping of lousy division foe, the Philadelphia Eagles. Dwayne Harris and the Cowboys ran away from the Eagles on Sunday, saving their season. In this game, the Cowboys got 3 TDs from other places besides their offense, as Dwayne Harris...

Rob Ryan’s Play Sheet Contains Pat’s King of Steaks Advertisement (Photo)

Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan may not have the same name brand appeal as his brother Rex, but apparently, one company wanted the opportunity to be associated with the Cowboys’ assistant coach. In Sunday’s big 38-23 win over the Philadelphia Eagles, Ryan was spotted with an advertisement on his play sheet. What was the ad for you ask? It was for the Philadelphia...

Cowboys RB Murray still out with foot sprain

Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray will miss his fourth straight game Sunday against the host Philadelphia Eagles because of a sprained left foot, ESPN Dallas reported Friday. Murray did not practice this week but was seen Thursday wearing a helmet and cleats for his rehab. He spent much of Friday's portion of practice that was open to the media working out in the...

Eagles-Cowboys Who Will End the Others Season?

Dallas leads the regular season all-time series 56–44.  But when the Cowboys and Eagles play all bets are off.  No team is safe ever. The Cowboys and Eagles play twice in the next 4 weeks.  What happens in four weeks most likely will not mean a thing for the team that loses this week.  Whichever team falls to 3-6 will have their season officially over. So which team will get...

Five thoughts on Cowboys' win over Eagles

Everything finally came together for the Cowboys Sunday in Philadelphia. Dallas scored touchdowns on offense, defense and special teams en route to a 38-23 victory over the Eagles. Here are my thoughts on the Cowboys' fourth win of the season. 1.) Jason Garrett finally got the complete game effort he was seeking. The offense, defense and special teams weren't flawless by...

Sean Payton to coach Dallas Cowboys? Who cares!

Sean Payton: Heir to the Cowboys Throne? “Sean Payton to coach Dallas Cowboys.” No one would be surprised if that was the leading headline in the coming NFL off-season. Since the NFL voided Payton’s contract with the New Orleans Saints, speculation about Jerry Jones setting his sights on the former Cowboys assistant has run rampant. And why not? We have seen it before. Jerry...

Cowboys-Eagles Preview And Reader Emails

The Cowboys play the Eagles in a desperation game on Sunday and there is no question that both teams are in a real similar spot. I assume everyone has hashed and rehashed all of the Michael VickAndy Reid narratives up against the Jason GarrettTony Romo types and have noted how similar the season has been in both cities. High expectations and low performances bring the two teams...

Cowboys v Eagles preview: Desperate for a win

Today’s showdown between the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys at Lincoln Financial Field marks a battle of desperation. Two organizations who entered the season with high expectations now see their teams sitting at a disappointing 3-5, with already slim chances of contending for a playoff spot on the line this week. Both Philadelphia and Dallas are teams more similar than...

The Dallas Cowboys scored touchdowns in all three phases of the game in the second half, as they came from behind to upend the reeling Philadelphia Eagles, 38-23, at Lincoln Financial Field.
