Somewhere a bunch of Dallas Cowboy fans either screamed with joy, or frustration. NFL.com is reporting that the Cowboys released safety Gerald Sensabaugh in a Salary cap move.
Sensabaugh was scheduled to make $3 million in 2013, which would have been fully guaranteed had he still been on the roster by March 12.
The release saves another $1.4 million in cap room, but once again, it leaves the secondary without a veteran safety after Sensabaugh had started 60 games for the Cowboys over the past four years.
It’s been a really long time since Dallas had a quality safety. Makes me wonder if they should have selected Mark Barron last year even though Mo Claiborne was the better player.
