Two days after quitting the team, Dallas Cowboys rookie wide receiver Cole Beasley changed his mind and was headed back to the team's camp in Oxnard, Calif., on Sunday. The rookie out of Southern Methodist told coach Jason Garrett Friday he wanted to quit football, so he left camp and went back to Dallas. However, he was expected to return Sunday for the team's Blue-White scrimmage, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported. Beasley, just 5-foot-8, impressed the team with his competitiveness and receiving skills during offseason drills and rookie camp. The Star-Telegram reported that the Cowboys were surprised that Beasley abruptly quit but are happy he is coming back.
