There is a strong possibility that the Cowboys could release right guard Leonard Davis this offseason. Davis had a dreadful season in 2010, providing only 2.0 yards per carry through his side of the line.
The three-time Pro Bowler hit an all-time low in Week 5 when he was benched after getting abused by the Tennessee Titans. Davis is signed through 2013, but ESPN Dallas is reporting that it’s an “extreme long shot” that Davis plays to the end of his contract. The $6 million he is due next season doesn’t make the odds any stronger that he’ll return to Big D.
