The Dallas Cowboys worked out three offensive guards at Valley Ranch on Tuesday, in hopes of shoring up the offensive line in the wake of a season ending injury to starting left guard Bill Nagy. Apparently, the team liked what they saw out of the triumvirate of potential replacements, because they decided to take two. Of (former Cowboy) Montrae Holland, Texas Tech alum and NFL veteran Daniel Loper and the awesomely named Mansfield Wrotto--the three who worked out Tuesday--only Wrotto was not signed by the team following the audition. Holland was signed yesterday afternoon; Loper was signed shortly later. Earlier in the week, it appeared that Nagy would be replaced by fellow rookie, guard/center Kevin Kowalski. Since Loper and Holland were signed mid-week, and since Derrick Dockery is still struggling to return from a knee injury, we kind of doubt that this will change, at least with respect to the Rams game.
