The Cowboys are finally starting contract talks with two of their free agents. Starting offensive guard Kyle Kosier missed three games last year due to injury, but he is the guy who makes line calls and he’d like to return to the team. If a deal is not reached with Kosier, he will become an unrestricted free agent, regardless of the system under the new CBA.
Stephen Bowen is a defensive end who started 8 or the teams last 9 games and would become a restricted free agent. In his limited time last season, Bowen had 25 tackles, 1.5 sacks, four tackles for loss and 12 quarterback pressures.
Dallas has little depth and major needs at both the offensive and defensive line, so the re-signings of Kosier and Bowen would be important and much needed.
