Some #Fatty and Randy McMichael. According to Randy, this #Fatty isn't THAT fat.
The New York Jets made Phillip Rivers and Norv Turner look like the two choke-job losers they’ve been their entire career on Sunday at MetLife Stadium when the Jets came back from a 21-10 halftime deficit to beat the San Diego Chargers, 27-21 earlier today. Oh and if you blinked you may have missed that Randy McMichael still actually plays in the NFL and happens to be ON San Diego. Well Randy was PISSED after the loss on Sunday and wanted nothing to do with giving the Jets any credit for the win.
Randy knows the Jets pretty well actually. In fact he has played in 12 games over his 10 year career and is a solid 4-8 vs them while accounting for 50 rec., 533 yards and 5 touchdowns. I think it’s fair to say Randy doesn’t like the Jets. After all, he’s accounted for most of those yards in a Miami Dolphin jersey (yeah he won a lot….no, no he didn’t). Anyway to get to the point, Randy went in on the Jets and actually ripped the Jets secondary. Yeah…Darrelle Revis plays in that secondary.
“The San Diego Chargers beat ourselves, OK?” McMichael said. “It’s all about us. We took our foot off the gas pedal, and we lost because of it. … Their secondary isn’t anything. It’s our fault. It had nothing to do with anybody on their team. It’s all about the guys in this locker room room, we lost the game. They didn’t do anything.” [ESPN]
“It’s our fault,” McMichael said. You can ask any question you want to ask, everything comes down to the San Diego Chargers beating the San Diego Chargers today. It had nothing to do with the New York Jets. It’s embarrassing, but it is what it is. We still have more games to play, and we’ll get ready to play whoever we play on Sunday (Kansas City).”
Asked if the Chargers (4-2) were still better than the Jets (4-3), McMichael responded, “Hell yeah. But they won, so whatever. I’m not giving anybody no credit, I’m taking the credit away from us, how about that?”

Revis Christ hovering over a Phillip Rivers pass. Yeah, Revis plays in the Jets secondary. S/O to AP Kathy Willens for the pic
Yeah…good point Randy. I mean the Jets didn’t spot you 7 on the second play of the game after Dustin (softy) Keller gave Donald Butler the ball and he took it back for 6. Oh yeah they also didn’t have a touchdown to Santonio Holmes called back for a holding call either. You guys DEFINITELY beat the Jets. I mean your boy Phillip Rivers went a respectable 16/32 with 179 yards, 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions. You know an interception– where a player (usually in the SECONDARY) takes the ball out of the air that was intended for a receiver on YOUR team. Yeah…so that secondary that’s “not anything” now has 9 INT’s, 2 TD’s, and ranks 5th in the NFL, while only allowing 197.6 passing yards per game and is FIRST in the league allowing only 4 touchdowns through the air on the season, through 7 games. Yeah– they’re not that good. If you don’t believe me, just ask your boy Vincent Jackson how good that secondary is. I mean CB/GOD Darrelle Revis had the same amount of receptions from Philip Rivers yesterday and out gained him by 49 yards. HAHA.
It’s okay Randy, I’d be upset too if I played for a coach with the biggest case of blue-balls in the NFL. Norv….you CAN win big games you know. You have Phillip Rivers, Ryan Matthews, (fatty) Mike Tolbert, Vincent Jackson, Malcolm Floyd, Antonio Gates and RANDY MCMICHAEL. That’s some talent my man. I think you handle the Raiders, Chiefs and Broncos….no? Anyway–have a nice flight back west Randy….you still suck.
