Tim Tebow fanboys had much more fun last summer. ESPN descended upon Jets’ training camp last summer, providing daily hourly coverage in the battle between Tim Tebow and Mark Sanchez for starting quarterback job. The coverage was, in a word, ridiculous. Tebow never won the job and had zero positive impact on the football field in 2012. Except for maybe this funny moment: Tebow at wide receiver with Sanchez throwing him the ball? That’s positively hilarious. So the guys over at The Big Lead — one of them a Jets’ fan, ironically enough — mentioned in passing yesterday that Tebow might be a good fit in San Francisco behind Colin Kaepernick. The current backup QB there is Colt McCoy. He’s not all that inspiring. While San Fran could be an option, where else might Tebow be a fit this season as a backup quarterback? 1. Jacksonville Jaguars: Because Florida. I thought this was the best place for him last offseason. Not only might he have a chance to start at QB again, but it also would ignite a listless fanbase. 2. Oakland Raiders: Because of the irony. The dichotomy between the holier-than-thou Tebow and the Black Hole. Plus, they need something at quarterback. 3. New England Patriots: Because for fun. I kind of think that Rex Ryan was trying to pull a Bill Belichick when he acquired Tebow. Obviously it was a failure. Belichick could one-up Ryan by making use of Tebow in some way. Funny how a guy who is not currently on a NFL roster and has not even been seriously linked to these or any other teams for that matter still is being drafted in fantasy football mock drafts. As the No. 13 overall quarterback at that. At least Tebow fanboys are having fun trolling mock drafts this offseason. Here are today’s great reads: Titans’ running back Chris Johnson is talking about a 2,000-yard season again. YAWN. [FFToolbox] Pretty scary and gross at the same time: Packers’ running back DuJuan Harris had a fist-sized cyst removed from his chest. He’s expected to be out a couple weeks but should be back in time for training camp. Harris looked good at the end of the 2012 season and should be in line for more work this season. [ProFootballTalk] This is a nice list of 2013 fantasy football sleepers and value picks. The three running backs mentioned — Vick Ballard, Lamar Miller and Chris Ivory — should be on all your radars at this point. [Hatty Waiver Wire Guru] Read this if you need to catch up on all the offseason movement to date and what effect each move has on fantasy football. [RotoProfessor]
