The Dallas Cowboys open the season on Wednesday, September the 5th with an opportunity to make a statement against the defending Super Bowl champion New York Giants.
Amongst many analysts, the Cowboys are a popular choice to win the NFC East division, credited with a top-notch defensive unit and an offense capable of putting up big numbers. But this is not the first time the Cowboys have been designated as the preseason favorite to hoist the divisional crown.
