Jerry Brown, a defensive back on the Dallas Cowboys was killed in a car accident Saturday morning.
Police have arrested his teammate, Josh Brent in regards to the incident.
Brent, has been charged with intoxication manslaughter.
Brent was driving above the speed limit early Saturday, with Brown a passenger, when the vehicle hit a curb and flipped at least once, according to Irving police spokesman John Argumaniz, via The Associated Press.
Brown was found unresponsive at the scene and pronounced dead at the hospital, according to Argumaniz.
Brent was arrested at 4 a.m. and charged with intoxication manslaughter, according to the Star-Telegram. Brent was reportedly returning from partying at a club in Dallas.
The Irving (Texas) Police Department later confirmed that Brown died in the crash and that Brent was charged, Pro Football Talk reports.
