Found April 06, 2013 on Football Extra Points:
I have been a loyal and faithful cowboys fan since I was 8 years old. I remember the glory days of Tony Dorsett and the like and I remember the bad times with Danny White and how the cowboys became victims of the "catch". Skip ahead to the current state that the cowboys are in now. Mediocre receivers that cannot remember routes or miss the majority of the season from injuries, a running game that resembles my nephew's middle school squad and a quarterback that receives all the benefits of America's team but performs like America's chump when the game is on the line. Yet even after all of this mediocracy and failure I still hold fast to the dream that there is hope in having hope and when the smoke clears and Jerry Jones stops shooting himself in the foot, the boys will once again be victorious. 2013 NFL Draft: Dallas Cowboys Team Needs

The Dallas Cowboys have made very few moves over the last three and half weeks in 2013 NFL Free Agency, but their budget was too tight to do hardly any spending on the open market, anyway.  Making quarterback Tony Romo—who turns 33-years-old later this month and has just one career playoff victory—the highest-paid player in franchise history with a six-year contract extension...

Bryant officially joins Michael Jordan's team

Dez Bryant is like a walking Jordan Brand billboard. The Dallas Cowboys wide receiver is rarely seen not wearing something with an Air Jordan logo on it. So it makes sense for Bryant to officially join Jordan's team. On Thursday night, it was posted on Bryant's official Twitter account that he just finished talking with Jordan on an elevator. Five hours later, the former...

Dez Bryant signs a three-year deal with Nike’s Jordan Brand

According to Calvin Watkins of ESPNDallas.com, Cowboys’ wide receiver Dez Bryant has signed a three-year contract with Nike’s  Jordan Brand. I guess we can now expect to see Bryant with the Jordan logo on at least his cleats and wrist bands next season.   Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document...

DeMarcus Ware says the Cowboys will be better than 8-8

During an interview with NBC’s Pro Football Talk, Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware insisted that they will be better than 8-8 after two straight seasons with that exact record. “We will not be .500,” Ware said, per ProFootballTalk.com.  “We will not be .500 like the last two years we’ve been, I can tell you that.” After missing the playoffs the past three years...

DeMarcus Ware to Tony Romo: Put Up or Shut Up

When Tony Romo signed a huge contract extension last week (to the tune of six years and $108 Million, $55 Million guaranteed and a $25 Million signing bonus), everyone had their own opinion on whether he was deserving of such a big deal or not. The latest person to have his voice be heard is actually a teammate, and not a small-time player at that. On Sirius XM radio on Thursday...

DeMarcus Ware to Tony Romo: “Put up or shut up”

The Dallas Cowboys re-signed Tony Romo to a massive contract and now fans are wanting the quarterback to prove his worth. So too is defensive end DeMarcus Ware. “I feel like everybody is deserving to whatever is given to him, but at the end of the day, to me it’s put up or shut up,” Ware said in an interview on Sirius XM NFL Radio, via the Dallas Morning News. “I’m just...

Tony Dorsett and me: A personal football journey

Greatest Ever! I was 15 years old when the Dallas Cowboys pulled off the greatest trade in team history (the greatest at the time, that is) and snagged the 2nd pick in the first round from the Seattle Seahawks. With that pick, the Cowboys selected Tony Dorsett from the University of Pittsburgh. Dorsett was, at the time, the all-time leading rusher in NCAA history. He had just lead...

DeMarcus Ware says it’s time for Tony Romo to “put up or shut up” after extension

Tweet Just a week ago, Tony Romo was given a six-year contract extension that could potentially be worth $108 million and promises him $55 million in guaranteed money. Donovan McNabb, a former Eagle and rival, was one of the first people to speak out on the issue, saying that he thought Romo hadn’t warranted being [...]

Dallas Elite 11 Notebook

As always, never a shortage of recruiting news surrounding "Nike weekend". The Elite 11 Regional Quarterback Camp kicked things off Saturday, when more than 80 quarterbacks from the Midlands region- some even making the trek from Mississippi, California and Indiana- met at the Dallas Cowboys practice facility in Irving, Texas, all vying for a spot in the summer's national...
