Dan O’Dowd’s Managerial Wish List Leaked

How the list was attained is not important. It’s unknown when this list was written.  One would assume either in the hours before or after the firing of Clint Hurdle, but the inclusion of Hurdle’s name on the list could also indicate this stationery was leftover from the 2002 firing of Buddy Bell. Then again the list also includes former Yankee manager Billy Martin (deceased since 1989) , Lou Brown (fictional manager of Cleveland Indians in Major League),  Joe Maddon (recently extended by Tampa) and John Madden (recently retired from broadcasting NFL games to spend more time with Brett Favre’s family). So it’s likely O’Dowd is just confused. Tom Runnels could be an intriguing choice given his experience managing the young Rockies in Colorado Springs.  Tommy Lasorda would seem like a...
