In case you missed it this off-season, Seattle Seahawks corner back Richard Sherman has been running his mouth for the past few months about being the best corner in the NFL. In fact, this is nothing new after Sherman spent the season doing the exact same thing. Over the past year, Sherman has taken a punch by Washington Redskins offensive tackle Trent Williams, posted a picture with the caption “u mad” after beating Tom Brady and the New England Patriots, called Calvin Johnson a non-factor after their match-up and recently called Roddy White an “easy match-up” despite being beat for a touchdown during the Seahawks vs Falcons playoff game. It is easy to see that Sherman is trying to make a name for himself not only on the field but off the field as well. Today, New York Jets corner back and a top five on the field defensive back, took a few shots at Sherman via his Twitter. Revis started by calling Sherman a girl for running his mouth I never seen a man before run his mouth so much like girl. This dude just steady putting my name in his mouth to get notoriety @rsherman_25 — Darrelle Revis (@Revis24) February 20, 2013 Then told Sherman that he should be more worried about Roddy White (a player who beat him for a touchdown during the playoffs) @rsherman_25 I ain’t your competition bro, @roddywhitetv is!!! — Darrelle Revis (@Revis24) February 20, 2013 Before finishing by telling Sherman that the business manager of Revis has more followers than the Seattle corner. My boy @johngeiger_ got more followers then @rsherman_25. Sit down young pup & wait your turn. — Darrelle Revis (@Revis24) February 20, 2013 Sherman responded by comparing his 2012 season stats to the stats of the career of Darrelle Revis (twice): Got off my flight to this hilarious convo. So I have 8 picks 3 ff and a sack.My season stats looking like Revis career stats — Richard Sherman (@RSherman_25) February 20, 2013 For the QB not throwing his way argument. In his 2nd year they were throwing his way.I still doubled his picks — Richard Sherman (@RSherman_25) February 20, 2013 Revis went on to ask Sherman if he thought he was better than Deion Sanders because Sanders no longer plays That’s like you saying your better then Deion Sanders & since he’s not playing no more he’s irrelevant for what he’s done. @rsherman_25 — Darrelle Revis (@Revis24) February 20, 2013 It looks like Sherman is continuing to run his mouth, but it is nice to see he stuck up for himself. Not sure if he cockiness is a good thing or a bad thing, but he has the stats to back himself up.
